LM Note 10/20: Yeah I'm Still Here You Dumb Fucks

2020.10.21 02:48 notbrandonzink LM Note 10/20: Yeah I'm Still Here You Dumb Fucks

Well for a blowout of a Monday night game, things sure stayed exciting. Max just about came back and beat Berger (which would’ve made Berger the highest scorer in the league and 2-4), Owen won his matchup thanks to a 30 point performance from Murray, and Sean was able to eek out a win thanks to a non-zero point outing from Nuk. At least it made up for the absolute atrocity of a football game that was.
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done one of these, so I’m gonna try and breeze over the past few weeks of action before I get to the power rankings.
I traded David Johnson and Mike Gesicki to Max for Hunter Henry and Chris Carson in what has been an upgrade at both positions for me.
Max then turned around and traded Gesicki with Josh Jacobs for Diggs, Higgins, and Taylor. This gave Max some actual startable players and helped consolidate a bit of Berger’s depth into a higher end RB.
I then traded Keenan Allen and CEH for Ridley and Thielen. Allen has since gotten injured (who could’ve seen that coming), but CEH’s value over the rest of the season with Bell entering the mix will really determine who won this trade.
Kyle and I (I have a problem, I know) swapped Dak for Tyler Boyd, which was a lucky out for me and Kyle went from chastising us for making suicide jokes to making his own. Fantasy football claims everyone eventually, buddy.
Owen and I swapped Hines and Engram for a week to fill some positional needs, not super exciting, but it itched that itch.
Berger traded Kenyan Drake and Cooper Kupp for George Kittle with Andrew, continuing to focus some of the value on his team. It seems to be working well for him so far.
Then the most recent trade, Own sending Bell and Aiyuk to Sean for Juju and Singletary (and $2 FAAB?). This could be a steal if Bell takes over the backfield, but CEH looked like a much more dynamic back this last game and it may just end up in a fantasy-confusing nightmare, like when you finally get a sex dream about that middle school teacher and then her hair turns into your daddy’s whipping belt.
A whole lot of value moving around, and you know how much I love the acquisition of value. Nothing quite as lopsided as some of the early season war crimes that happened (injury aside).
And now to the garbage that you all come here to peddle over and proceed to give me shit for: the power rankings. I’ve included tier marks as well as it’s becoming apparent which teams can actually keep it up over a few more weeks. If you are mad about your ranking, try scoring more points.

Tier 1

1. Andrew, 5-1, 122 PPW One bad week with some fluke outings doesn’t knock you from the top spot. The five weeks of dominance before this (and a 6-0 start if you didn’t trust the only team in the NFL worse than the NFC East) keeps you in the top spot and the team to dethrone at this point. You’re getting CMC back here shortly which only makes your team look better, although it’s still lacking in some depth if the injury bug starts biting. From what I hear, this is the only thing you have going for you in life, so congrats on not fucking up one thing.
2. Berger, 3-3, 123 PPW Focusing some of the value you had on your bench is starting to pay off, and you’ve still yet to put up a week below 100. You also hold the distinguished honor of scoring the most points and having the most points scored against you, so you’re about as good at stopping your opponent as the Giants defense, gotta up the smack talk game. You still have a few solid bench options to go with one of the best starting lineups in the league, the wins should start coming.
3. Sean Cook, 4-2, 121 PPW Similar to Andrew, you finally showed your belly with your lowest outing of the year this last week. Your starting lineup still has some glaring holes and your bench is nothing to write home about, but stacking Wilson/Henry/Nuk at the top of your lineup and filling the rest of your lineup with spit-shined polished shit has worked thus far, and maybe Bell will be your championship key.
4. Zink, 4-2, 121 PPW All the teams in this top tier are neck-and-neck in points per week, and my team has pretty much been Owen if Owen could put up more than 120 PPW. A few really good outings and no bad outings has me sitting in second place, and a few luckily timed trades has kept my team from falling apart. As Parker so artistically put it, my team may be hanging on by a thread, but that thread keeps getting thicker and thicker (that’s what she said?).

Tier 2

5. Owen, 3-3, 114 PPW As stated above, Owen continues to put up roughly league average weeks, again and again, which has led to a nice and reasonable 3-3 record. He’s currently slated to start two Bills RBs this week, which makes for about as attractive of an option as the current state of the Olson twins. It’s going to continue to be his WRs and Kelce that carry him, and trading Bell away as a lottery piece seems like an odd move for a championship-or-move-to-a-Mongolian-monstary-and-discover-the-true-meaning-of-life-is-bell-cow-RBs kind of guy.
6. Harold, 3-3, 115 PPW And just think, it wasn’t that long ago that you were ranked atop this list. Your team has jumped from elite to almost mediocre faster than Leonard jumps to conclusions. Getting MT back keeps you very slightly above the teams directly below you, but your team is looking like an anorexic sorority girl: looking good at the beginning of the semester, but by the first round of exams her rib cages are the most defined set of things on her chest. And judging by your dating history, I’m not sure that’s your type.
7. Parker, 3-3, 113 PPW Your team is looking like the 1990s Batman movies, a star studded cast with household names that started off great and are quickly looking like a re-re-re-remake of Godzilla where The Rock goes into hand-to-hand combat with the beast itself. I keep thinking your team will be a serious contender, but with only two really good weeks so far, it might be time to look at mixing things up and selling some guys before their value is completely tanked. Then again, at 3-3, your playoffs chances aren’t looking too bad if you can keep going .500 the rest of the year.

Tier Give Up Already

The best part about getting to this part of the rankings is that I no longer have to look for the good parts of a team and can just rag on them, as they deserve.
8. Kyle, 2-4, 104 PPW You really deserve to be 1-5 right now, and your team is looking like a more extreme version of Harold’s. Three straight weeks of roughly 90 points with a lackluster starting lineup and an abysmal bench, Ekler coming back and CEH not giving up any work to Bell are your only real hopes at this point. I’ve seen heroin addicts with a more positive outlook than your disastrous excuse for a team.
9. Leonard, 2-4, 105 PPW Oh man I wanted so badly to give Max this spot, but unfortunately I may have to wait another week to put you back down in last place. Your starting lineup isn’t quite as bad as some of the other cellar-dwellers, but your bench is a wasteland of waiver-wire-fodder and insolence as an owner and human being leaves me confident that you’ll continue to fuck it up. You’d think that an unemployed guy with no social life would be able to put together an even half-competent team, but here we are.
10. Max, 1-5, 96 PPW Sorry Max, one really good week doesn’t erase the previous 5 weeks of laughable performance. A lot of byes this week probably pushes you to 1-6, which is a tough place to come back from to make the playoffs. Losing two straight weeks by about as slim of a margin as possible is insult enough on it’s own, so I’ll leave this one short.
It’s a battle of the commishes this week in an exciting matchup between two of the top teams in the league. We also get to see Owen versus Leonard which I’m certain will spur some good smack talk from Owen and some incomprehensible gibberish in return from Leonard. Sean and Andrew also make for an exciting matchup as two of the other top teams in the league, and thankfully Andrew has already moved Crowder back to his bench. Rounding out the matchups this week are Kyle v Harold trying to stop their skids and Parker v Max.
Fuck you all.
Best regards, Your commish, Brandon Zink

MURRAY EARNS YET ANOTHER WIN AT AT&T STADIUM

• In leading the Cardinals to a victory over the Cowboys on MNF, QB Kyler Murray improved to 7-0 as a starter at AT&T Stadium dating back to his sophomore year of high school in 2012. Murray now has at least one win at AT&T Stadium at the high school (Allen HS), college (Oklahoma) and NFL levels.
• Murray threw for 188 yards and two TDs and also rushed for 74 yards and a TD on 10 carries in the win over Dallas. It was his sixth career game with both a passing and rushing TD. Only three players in franchise history had more games with both a passing and rushing TD in their career than Murray has in his first 22 career games.

KIRK SCORES TWICE ON MONDAY – INCLUDING A CAREER-LONG 80-YARDER

• Like teammate Kyler Murray, WR Christian Kirk entered Monday’s game with experience playing at AT&T Stadium. He played three games at the venue during his time at Texas A&M, scoring six TDs in those contests. He added to that total on MNF, scoring his second and third TDs of the season on a pair of passes from Kyler Murray.
• Kirk’s first catch on Monday was a six-yard TD reception early in the second quarter. Two drives later, he hauled in a career-long 80-yard TD catch. Dating back to his college career at Texas A&M, Kirk now has eight TDs in four games played at AT&T Stadium.

A BIG DAY FOR BUDDA, INCLUDING HIS FIRST CAREER INTERCEPTION

• Still wearing a cast on his hand due to a thumb injury suffered earlier this season, S Budda Baker had one of the best games of his career in the Cardinals win over Dallas on Monday. The Pro Bowler finished yesterday’s game with seven tackles, a sack, his first career INT, a tackle for loss, two QB hits, a pass defensed and a forced fumble.
Monday’s game in Dallas was Baker’s first as a team captain. He received the honor on Saturday evening, taking over the role LB *Chandler Jones** held prior to his season-ending injury.*
Baker became the first Cardinals player since 2003 (Renaldo Hill on 11/2 vs. Cincinnati) to record a sack, an INT and a forced fumble in the same game.
• In the fourth quarter on Monday, Baker dove in front of an Andy Dalton pass intended for Amari Cooper and intercepted it at the AZ 10-yard line. It was the first INT of his NFL career and first INT since his junior year at the University of Washington, when he intercepted a Luke Falk pass on 11/25/16 vs. Washington State.
• Through Week 6, Baker has 45 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three QB hits, his first-career INT, two passes defensed and a forced fumble in five games. He missed Arizona's Week 4 game against Carolina after thumb surgery but still ranks top-five among NFL DBs in tackles this year.

• Playing just days after attending the funeral of his father, DL Jordan Phillips recorded two tackles, two QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery against the Cowboys. Playing in his 82nd career game, it was the first time in his career Phillips recorded a forced fumble and fumble recovery in the same game.

2020.10.20 21:22 NFLPowerRankers Official r/NFL Week 6 Power Rankings

Week 6 Official NFL Power Rankings are here! With almost half of the top ten teams losing and almost half of bottom ten winning, look for shakeups galore. Who's ready to be mad? Discuss! 32/32 Reporting
# Team Δ Record Comment
1. Chiefs +2 5-1 The Chiefs bounced back in a big way against the Bills by...running the ball? Kansas City rushed for the most yards in a game since 2012, and this was the most rushing yards by an Andy Reid led team ever. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had an impressive night running the ball behind a patchwork offensive line that still had an amazing day. Nick Allegretti and Daniel Kilgore, especially, performed amazingly. If this rushing attack can continue and the defense can continue to also play well, the Chiefs will add another sorely needed dimension to their arsenal. An arsenal Le'Veon Bell is now powering up.
2. Seahawks -- 5-0 Week 6 saw the Seahawks become the only undefeated team left in the NFC. Look for that to continue this week in Arizona. Russell Unlimited is coming for that MVP vote baby. 😎
3. Ravens +1 5-1 5-1 going into the bye with an offense that does not look great, but the 20+ streak lives on another week. The Ravens really fought off some refball valiantly as the game ended, but that defense was ferocious, and the offense can keep experimenting as teams get HUMPED!!!!!
4. Steelers +2 5-0 Although the Steelers have one less game played for cumulative stats, even on average, the defense is near the top of the NFL in most categories. A depleted Browns team found that out the hard way when their promising start was interrupted with a rude wake-up call, courtesy of Pittsburgh's defense. Cleveland came into that game arguably the hottest rushing team in the league and were held to just 75 yards. Now, after 4 straight home games, the Steelers have to try and continue this pace with 4 of 5 on the road starting at Tennessee to decide who will potentially be left with a perfect record in the AFC.
5. Titans -- 5-0 Derrick Henry had another 200+ 2 TD rushing game and outgained the Jets, Bears, Giants, Browns and Packers in total yards on Sunday. All attention turns to the upcoming battle of two 5-0 teams against the Steelers.
6. Packers -5 4-1 apolgy for poor run d. when were you when aron threw pick6? i was at house eating dorito when phone ring. "aron is kil". "no"
7. Buccaneers +6 4-2 The Buccaneers played a romper stomper on Sunday, upsetting the undefeated Packers 38-10 (after starting down 10-0). Ronald Jones rolled through his third straight 100 yard rushing game, the defense generated 24 pressures on Aaron Rodgers (including 2 interceptions), and 0 penalties were committed. If this is the Buccaneer football the team produces for the rest of the year, they will be a contender deep into playoffs. Next up, the Las Vegas Raiders, where Center Rodney Hudson is expected to go AWOL in Tijuana the night before the big game.
8. Bills -1 4-2 The Bills are reeling off of two straight losses, and for the first time in years most of the blame can go on the defense. No semblance of a pass rush, and an anemic run D have plagued the team in two consecutive weeks now. With that being said: the Bills are 4-2, lead their division by a game, go into what should be a “gimme” against an awful Jets team, and Josh Allen is still a franchise QB. Things could be a lot better, but they could also be a whole lot worse.
9. Rams -1 4-2 The 2020 NLCS had it all: Close battles, big blowouts, amazing defensive plays, grand slams, TOOTBLANs, and best of all, blowing a 3-1 lead. The Dodgers are now headed to their third World Series in four years, and while immensely grateful to the Rays for eliminating the cheaters, after a decade of postseason pain, the mantra among Dodger fans is “please just win it this time.”
10. Bears +4 5-1 Have the Bears earned your respect yet? Their defense continues to flash hard hits, rattle quarterbacks, and keep teams out of the endzone. The Monsters rank in the top (bottom?) 6 in points allowed, yards/play allowed, touchdowns given up, and third down conversions. They lead the league in red zone defense too -- allowing opponents to score a touchdown on only 36%! of red zone possesions. The biggest weakness of this team is clearly the offensive line, which can't seem to find a way to open up room to run no matter who they're facing. The next three games (@LAR, NOS, @TEN) may determine for many if the Bears are contenders or simply good-but-not-great.
11. Raiders -1 3-2 The Raiders score points on 56% of their drives, averaging 3.04 points per drive, both of which are near, or tops in the league. They will need to keep scoring at a similar or better pace against the Bucs who are coming off a very strong win against the Packers this week. The Raiders have a few key players returning from injury this week which should help bolster their defense which is coming off a strong performance against the Chiefs their last time out. Holding them to only 8 points in the second half of the Raiders dominant win.
12. Saints -1 3-2 Much like how Fulcanelli, it's clear Sean Payton possesses great knowledge which can be used to improve his team, but he needs to ensure it doesn't get lost; as with Fulcanelli's knowledge after the Liberation of Paris. The Saints need to put the bye round to good use to ensure this team snaps out of the mire of mediocrity it's been stuck in to start the season lest the resurgent Bucs and Panthers overtake them.
13. Cardinals +3 4-2 That was one of the more memorable Monday Night Football games for Cardinals fans. The Red Rifle had Cardinal hunting in mind, but Budda Baker and the defense were having none of it as they mostly shut down the Cowboy offense and created 4 turnovers. On offense Murray's throws were a little off, but the team seemed much more balanced and fluid as Kenyan Drake had a huge game on the ground. Hopefully the team can use this as momentum as they'll face a well rested division leading Seahawks team next week.
14. Colts +1 4-2 The Colts dug themselves out from under a 21-0 deficit and managed to escape with a 31-27 victory on Sunday. The death of Phillip Rivers has been postponed temporarily; 17 made it happen in his best game as a Colt to date. Extra shout out to Jack Doyle for hauling in a beautiful TD. At 4-2, Indy looks to catch up with the resurgent Titans for control of the AFC South.
15. Browns -6 4-2 Browns fans have a lot to reflect on after the Steelers game. The Browns will take on the Bengals, at home, in a game everyone is sure to tune into.
16. 49ers +2 3-3 The return of Emmanuel Moseley changed the entire look of the defense. Instead of being a weakness, the secondary looked like the strength of the defense against the Rams this week. On the other side of the ball, the Offensive line played a flawless game, allowing 0 sacks on Jimmy G. Both sides of the football will have to be at the top of their game for the stretch of games ahead (@NE, @Sea, GB, @NO, @LAR).
17. Patriots -5 2-3 Hard to gauge what's going on with the team without practice, that being said they did not look great against the Broncos. Pats need a boring week of normalcy leading up to the Niners.
18. Dolphins +1 2-3 Between Mike Gesicki, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Christian Wilkins the Dolphins players are clearly representing the fanbase's excitement for the team very, very well! And while everyone is happy that we finally saw Tua on the field for a couple of passes in mop-up duty after another well won game over a bad team, it clearly meant something more for Tua to get on the field for the first time since his injury in college.
19. Panthers -2 3-3 For a lot of people, failing against the Bears will come as a "We are who they thought they were" moment for the Panthers. But a closer look reveals this: The Panthers have either been in control of or within one possession of every single game they've played in 2020. It's likely not our year, but that's an impressive feat for a team that was supposed to be one of the League's worst going into the season.
20. Chargers +1 1-4 The Chargers didn't blow it this weekend, and about six livers are probably thankful for it. Now the rest of the week can be spent worrying about how this team could shoot itself in the foot against the super spoopy Jaguars.
21. Broncos +5 2-3 242 yards. For a running back or a wide receiver, that'd be an all-time great game. For Brandon McManus, that's just another day at the office. On the leg of their longest-tenured active player, plus a little help from the active hands of Shelby Harris, the Broncos exited Massachusetts with their first win in Foxborough since Jake Plummer. A season not quite dead and not quite alive gets its next test when Mahomes comes to town on Sunday.
22. Lions +3 2-3 A Lions win delivers happiness, excitement, and confusion. Not that the Lions beat the lowly Jaguars, but the Lions dominated from the first snap. They held the lead for the entire game, and beat the Jaguars on both sides of the ball. HC Matt Patricia stated they would be "simplifying" the defense in order to have results NOW, and god damn it finally worked. Does this save his job? No, but consistent performances like that will definitely earn a second look. Next week at ATL, are the teams going to fight over who gets to blow the double digit lead first? Tune in next week!
23. Texans -- 1-5 From the beginning to the very last seconds the Texans were in the game and pushing to win. Aggression was their watchword and for the first time in a long time the Texans were undeniably entertaining to watch. The difference in the team since BoB's firing is obvious, and I think fans can be rightfully proud of this team again. When the worst part of a game was having to listen to Rich Gannon demonstrate loudly how little he knows about strategy, you know it's been a Sunday afternoon well spent.
24. Eagles -- 1-4-1 The Philadelphia Eagles Practice Squad did their best against the Ravens but were unable to complete the comeback. Injuries and losses continue to pile up with virtually no end in sight. The only saving grace: the NFC East is so historically bad that the Eagles, with 1 win in 6 games, sit in 2nd place.
25. Cowboys -5 2-4 The Dallas Cowboys have continued their drunken shuffle sideways, falling the least far from the top of shit mountain. They rotated out which key players were injured, so that was a nice change of pace. Fans have started to shift playoff expectations from a potential Superb Owl push to picking in the early 20s with a 5-11 record.
26. Falcons +4 1-5 Prospective employers are crossing Dan Quinn off in droves, whose incompetent body of work at this point is nothing short of a creative masterpiece. Under new leadership Atlanta looks as sleek as their new jerseys, holding a lead for the first win of the season. Meanwhile, fans have undergone the quickest 180 in recent memory, from Trevor tanking to 11-5 hopefuls in just under five business days.
27. Vikings -5 1-5 Justin Jefferson's stat line from Sunday: 9 catches, 166 yards, 2 TDs, 1 reason to live.
28. Bengals -1 1-4-1 How to lose close games and & alienate players. A memoir by Zac Taylor, coming soon.
29. Washington FT -1 1-5 Washington Football Team and the Giants both came in with aspirations of being the least in the east but when it came time to win the game, Washington showed true losing heart and just wanted it less.
30. Jaguars -1 1-5 The Jacksonville Jaguars are very bad at the sport of American football. Fans call for leadership changes, however it seems the beatings will continue until morale improves.
31. Giants -- 1-5 An ugly win is still a win. But boy, was this one ugly. Staredowns and inexplicable lobs into the air resulting in picks continue to plague Daniel Jones, and the offensive playcalling leaves much to be desired. Thankfully, the defense continues to (mostly) impress. The Giants have little time for celebration on their first win of the season, though, as they'll head to Philly on a short week to see who wants to lose the NFC East title more.
32. Jets -- 0-6 Immediately following the game in Miami, the Jets traded DL Steve McLendon to the Bucs, who promptly got into his car and drove straight to Tampa. We should all be so luc

4t Paul Christman (1945-49) 6
Monday’s win was Murray’s fifth game this season with both a passing and rushing TD. He is the first player in NFL history to accomplish the feat five times in the first six games of a season. Murray (5) joins Jim Hart (5 in 1968) as the only players in franchise history with at least five such games in a single season.
• Murray threw for multiple TD passes in a game for the 11th time in his career. He has already established a franchise record for the most games with multiple TD passes in a player’s first two NFL seasons.

• In the second quarter, Murray posted his sixth rushing TD of the season (and 10th of his career) on a one-yard run. Despite being just six games into the season, his six rushing TDs are tied for the franchise single-season record for rushing TDs by a QB. He matched the total put up by Jim Hart, who had six rushing TDs in 13 games in 1968.

2020.10.14 21:01 NFLPowerRankers Official r/NFL Week 5 Power Rankings

Welcome to the week 5 Official NFL Power Rankings! With NFL games played on four days last week, including Tuesday night, the rankers were chomping at the bit to provide readers with what they all want: another Wednesday post. Is there a new top team? Who's better than their record? Who's worse? Discuss! 30/32 Reporting
# Team Δ Record Comment
1. Packers +2 4-0 Not a lot happened this bye week other than injury recovery. Roberto Grande (NOT Grande Roberto as was said in the last writeup, apparently nothing was learned in five years of Spanish classes, but in defense those were five years ago and haven't been used since) will hopefully be getting some help with Davante Adams returning from injury.
2. Seahawks -- 5-0 For the first time in franchise history, the Seattle Seahawks start out a season 5-0. It was an ugly victory on Sunday night against the Vikings, but watching Russell Wilson hit DK Metcalf on 4th down to keep the game-winning drive alive.. and then AGAIN to take the lead made everything all better. Through 5 weeks DK is: #2 in receiving yards, #2 in receiving touchdowns, and #1 in average yards per reception. He has really taken a jump in his sophomore year, and the rest of the league should be on alert. Heading into the bye, the Seahawks are exactly where they want to be.
3. Chiefs -2 4-1 Chiefs came into this game like they owned the place and got punched in the mouth. Humble pie games are sometimes needed to fix issues and the Chiefs are no different. From offensive line play, to Mahomes pocket presence issues, to a complete disaster on defense...the Chiefs have a lot to work on. We will see if the Chiefs can fix things up in time to compete with another AFC hopeful when they go to Buffalo to play the Bills.
4. Ravens -- 4-1 Passing 38 times in a blowout is overthinking it. Overthinking it won't really cut it against the Eagles. But Humphrey and Queen are all over the field on defense, so how much does the offense really need to think?
5. Titans +2 4-0 The Titans were able to overcome an unprecedented 16 days in between games to stand up strong against the Bills on Tuesday. A strong performance by Tannehill on offense and Malcolm Butler on defense took advantage of a potent Bills team that has the firepower to stand with any team in the NFL.
6. Steelers -- 4-0 Chase Claypool. That’s it. That’s the post.
7. Bills -2 4-1 The Buffalo Bills and the terrible, horrible no good day....Something that’s been totally lost in this ugly, ugly week: the Bills had to prepare for two teams this week because of the NFL’s incompetency. On top of that the defense was down arguably its two most dynamic players. With that being said: the Titans came in ready to play, and the Bills came out as sloppy as they’ve ever been. This team needs a statement badly against Kansas City.
8. Rams -- 4-1 After dominating the NFC Least, attention now turns to division play as the schedule toughens up. With Aaron Donald on pace to break the single season sack record, the Rams are encouraged by how well they are playing, but are far from satisfied and will look to improve even more, just in time for harder opponents.
9. Browns +5 4-1 The Browns have four wins in a row? Cleveland now has their best start since 1994 (when the Houston Oilers still existed and the team was coached by Bill Belichick). Baker and company showed they can still get things done without Nick Chubb. A key divisional game looms next week against the Steelers. All eyes will be on undoubtedly be Myles Garrett for some reason that we all can't quite think of right now.
10. Raiders +5 3-2 How it feels going into the bye week after dominating the Chiefs
11. Saints -- 3-2 Perhaps Sean Payton should send a gift to Money Badger. Much like Rasputin, the Saints defense may have acquired a reputation it can't deliver on in pre-season. Through 5 weeks its been more reminiscent of the Rex Ryan era and this team is lucky to be 3-2.
12. Patriots -2 2-2 It appears that Stephon Gilmore and Cam Newton will be able to play this week against the Broncos, this is a good thing for the Patriots.
13. Buccaneers -4 3-2 Do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a penalty problem? Answer: yes! In their Thursday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears, the Bucs committed a staggering 11 penalties for 109 yards. They now lead the league in both flags and penalized yards (42 penalties for 410 yards), putting them on track to lead the league in penalties as they did in 2019. Defensive centerpiece Vita Vea went to season-ending IR with a broken ankle, captain Devin White forgot how to play LB in the past two games, and the defense looks vulnerable all of a sudden. Things look a little rocky going into an undefeated Green Bay and a surging Las Vegas.
14. Bears +3 4-1 The Bears counted all the way to four wins Thursday night and turned in their best performance to date in a tough matchup. The Bears continue to count on their defense in the 4th, rushing four and getting pressure on Brady to close out the game. The Bears need a strong offensive performance soon to have fans feeling confident -- but undefeated in the NFC feels pretty good already. Extend Allen Robinson.
15. Colts -3 3-2 Though this young season has offered more encouragement than the last campaign, one thing evident in Colts' early goings are their struggles in the red zone. A better redzone conversion performance is imperative as the Colts try to ease the burden on a banged up defense.
16. Cardinals -- 3-2 Nothing like the Jets to stop a two game skid in a rigid NFC West. The Cardinals did what was expected and Murray even won his second NFC offensive player of the week in the process. However, losing Chandler Jones for the season is the reminder that nothing is perfect.
17. Panthers +2 3-2 Beating the hapless Falcons is nothing to write home about unto itself, but positive signs for this team keep piling up. This week saw Bridgewater outduel Matt Ryan, the red zone defense step way up, and passes thrown to six different receivers. The Panthers' run defense is still one of the worst units in the League, but some life is emerging from the pass defense. Carolina continues to look like a team putting it all together in a wide open division.
18. 49ers -5 2-3 Jimmy G is obviously still not completely healthy, but very few QB's could thrive behind this O-line. Its performance through the first 5 weeks has landed it in the bottom 5 in both run and pass situations. With the injuries to the rest of the roster, if this performance does not improve, the team will struggle competing week in and week out.
19. Dolphins +4 2-3 That's the kind of win that the Dolphins never provide, and now it's happened twice in one year! Two decisive wins against mediocre teams, and three close losses to good teams. Are the Dolphins actually good, or just pretending to be good?
20. Cowboys -2 2-3 Victory Monday. On top of the East. We showed ingenuity, leaned on the run, and a few surprise players really surprise us. Man, I just hope Dak doesn't have any complications. This one's for you, #4
21. Chargers -1 1-4 Instead of having to recount this game in any real detail, here's the Sparknotes version of the past 15 years. Saves all of us some time. In literally any positive news, Justin Herbert's four TD passes are the most ever by a rookie QB on Monday Night Football.
22. Vikings -1 1-4 A 4th down dart stung Minnesota in more ways than one, and even without Dalvin this team still shows just enough fight to not completely lose hope. Zimmer played to win, but needs more than what-ifs if he wants to right the U.S. Bank Stadium's ship.
23. Texans +5 1-4 "Better than the Jags" is a low bar to clear, but it's always better to be above it than to be below it. RAC showed some of the sensible aggression that fans have been clamoring for the last few years, and for the first time in a long time it feels like maybe there's the possibility of Texans' football being fun to watch again.
24. Eagles -2 1-3-1 Good news: the Eagles offense showed signs of life. Bad news: literally everything else.
25. Lions -- 1-3 The Lions rest during the bye week, and still lose thanks to various NFL broadcasters calling out the coaching staff.
26. Broncos -- 1-3 NFL players are normal working people, too. They worked a whole week then get told that was their break!
27. Bengals -3 1-3-1 Coach Zac Taylor saw the dead body of Joe Burrow on Sunday but didn't report it. That's pretty sus. So now we have to follow him around to make sure he's not an imposter.
28. Washington FT +2 1-4 Powerful statement by The Washington Football team who all decided to not show up in solidarity with recently benched QB Dwayne Haskins, who was out with a stomach flu and could not join teammates on the sidelines. Oh, and Alex Smith took the field but his stats looked about as gruesome as that photo of his leg going going 9/17 for 37 yards and five sacks. At least we know he can take a hit again. And again and again and again and again.
29. Jaguars -- 1-4 This small text box regrets to inform you, the Jaguars are, in fact, deceased. What started with an embarrassment by an elderly bearded gentleman a few weeks ago, has turned into the disaster the team feared it might. There seems to be no defense, no special teams, and every glimmer of offense is soon overshadowed by something terrible. The only way to turn this into a truly Jacksonville season, is to extend the head coach and GM, which given the current pace of things, is bound to happen sometime around week 8. Good luck, and good night.
30. Falcons -2 0-5 A decision has been made. HC and GM positions are officially both Blank slates for the Falcons for the first time in over 12 years. With even historic franchise faces not fully supported by ownership, many question how (and/or why) Dirk Koetter has managed to evade headlines. This is unfortunately still a team in turmoil, trending more towards a "Tanking for Trevor" by the day.
31. Giants -- 0-5 The Giants understandably found some offensive success in their highest-scoring game of the year. Of course, it came in the same game that they gave up the most points of the year as well. Andrew Thomas continues to get manhandled way too often, leading to consistent pressure on Daniel Jones. As bad as Gettleman’s been, he’s hit on all his big free agent signings this year. Logan Ryan, Blake Martinez, and James Bradberry are carrying this defense right now. Oh, and Graham Gano is an absolute stud of a kicker. Aldrick who? In a season full of negatives, you have to find positives where you can.
32. Jets -- 0-5 Adam Gase said yesterday that he’s “toyed” with the idea of giving play calling to someone else. Maybe Chris Johnson can just give the entire team to someone else.

2020.09.14 05:41 autobuzzfeedbot 17 Movie Character Names With Incredibly Clever Meanings You Might Not Have Picked Up On

  1. In Wreck-It Ralph, the two donut police officers — Duncan and Wynnchel — are named after the famous donut chains Dunkin' Donuts and Winchell's Donut House.
  2. In Cheaper by the Dozen (a movie about a family with 12 kids), the family's last name is Baker — a reference to the term "a baker's dozen."
  3. In Dumb and Dumber, Jim Carrey's character Lloyd Christmas is desperate to be with Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly), who he has no chance with. If they did get married, though, her new name would be Mary Christmas — another reason why things were unlikely to ever work between the two.
  4. In The Incredibles, the last name of Mr. and Mrs. Incredibles' family is Parr — because they want everyone to think they are average.
  5. In The Goonies, the bad guys were named the Fratelli Brothers. In Italian, "Fratelli" means "brothers," so the filmmakers (having a little fun, I imagine) basically named them "the Brothers Brothers."
  6. In Elf, Buddy (Will Ferrell) and Jovie (Zooey Deschanel) name their baby Susie — likely to honor Buddy's biological mom, Susan Wells, who passed away after giving Buddy up for adoption.
  7. In Deadpool, the cab driver character is named Dopinder in tribute to a "really cool friend" of Ryan Reynolds' from grade school who tragically died after being struck by lightning.
  8. In Joker — directed by Todd Phillips — Murray Franklin introduces a guest on his show as an actor named "Ethan Chase." Ethan Chase was the name of Zack Galifianakis's character in Todd Phillips' earlier film Due Date.
  9. In Superbad, Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) are named after the film's screenwriters, Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg, who started writing the script when they were teenagers.
  10. In Up, the villain, Charles Muntz, is allegedly named after Charles Mintz, the real-life film producer with whom Walt Disney had a strained relationship (and whose professional relationship ended acrimoniously).
  11. In Rampage, whenever Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson's character Davis uses sign language to identify himself to the gorilla George, he signs "Rock" instead of "Davis."
  12. In The Invention of Lying, a movie about a world where everyone tells the truth, Ricky Gervais plays a guy named Mark Bellison who tells the very first lie. "M. Bellison" — which we see written on his office door — sounds a lot like 'embellishing,' which is another form of dishonesty.
  13. In the Fast and Furious franchise, Han Lue is briefly revealed to go by the alias Han Seoul-Oh, a reference to the Star Wars character Han Solo.
  14. In The Flintstones, Halle Berry plays a secretary named Sharon Stone. This name choice was more than just another "stone/rubble" joke (coupled with a modern reference). She was named that because the role was originally intended for Sharon Stone herself, but she was unable to do it.
  15. In the Bond film GoldenEye, the villain Alec Trevelyan (played by Sean Bean) is alleged to have been named after British film censor John Trevelyan, who notoriously disliked early Bond films.
  16. In Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, Brad Pitt gets into the Nazi film premiere by pretending to be a stunt man named Enzo Gorlomi. This is a reference to Enzo Castellari (whose birth name was Enzo Girolami), the director of the 1978 film Inglorious Bastards that helped inspire Tarantino's film.
  17. And in The Butterfly Effect, Ashton Kutcher's character is named Evan Treborn, which sounds like "event reborn." That, of course, describes his powers: the ability to go back and re-experience events from his past.

2020.08.06 12:42 CaptainGordan Throwback Write-Up #17: Erick Sermon - Chilltown, New York

Artist: Erick Sermon
Album: Chilltown, New York
Release Date: June 22, 2004
Listen:
Spotify
Youtube
Background:
Erick Sermon started as one half of EPMD. Their first two albums released to critical and commercial acclaim and are undisputed classics. After their next two albums and a robbery of Parrish Smith’s home where one of the suspects had told him Sermon set it up, the duo split up, along with their collective. Das EFX and DJ Scratch remained with Parish Smith as Hit Squad, and Redman and Keith Murray going with Erick Sermon to form Def Squad. During this time, Erick moved down to Atlanta to record his first solo album in 1993. After his sophomore album, EPMD would get back together later that decade and record two more albums, which didn’t sell as well, but still had some gems.
The 90’s were a busy decade overall for E-Dub, not just as a rapper, but as a producer. In addition to producing his 2 solo albums and the 4 EPMD records that came out in that span. He was also responsible for producing all of Keit Murray’s first 3 albums, and co-producing Redman’s first 3 albums with Redman (Whateva Man was originally an Erick Sermon song before he gave it to Redman).
I chose this album as this is one of my all time favorite albums and was the first album that I heard from E Dub. Bought this for $5 used at the local record store when I was 13, even though the only time I had heard of him prior to that album was his feature on Alkoholik by Xzibit, but a 17 track album for $5 was a steal at the time.
This may not be his most successful or acclaimed album, but I think this is the most important one in his career as it came at a time when the NY scene was changing and shifting away from the boom bap sound of the 90’s, and instead of chasing that new mainstream sound like he did with his previous album and its Just Blaze produced single, he chose to stick with his classic sound that he has established as a producer and delivered that on top of improved rapping on an album that became his most introspective project.
Review
The album kicks off with Home(Intro). This is probably my favorite intro track not in terms of quality but setting the stage for the rest of the album.
On my CD, you won't hear the same
It's two special guests, and the rest is my name
You won't hear the bling, or the champagne – nuttin’
You won't hear a nigga on the microphone frontin’
And no love songs, I'm not serenading
I'm just narrating the streets on my beats
On the next verse, Erick Sermon voices his displeasure with artists who have shifted into chasing the southern hip hop sound. He’s not dogging on the south, but rather those who aren’t southern rappers that bite that particular style to sell records
“Yeah, why didn't you make your own music?
You thought Down South records'd do it - nope!
You're you, and that's them
Look in the mirror, that's you, and that's them - find yourself”
He also notes that he was one of the first artists to take part in the Atlanta scene with his first solo album “I’m the first one to bounce down south, ATL in 92’ I took that route”
The next song up is Wit Ees. This song is literally just Erick Sermon rapping everything with Ees, that’s it, that’s the whole song. It’s great.
Now, take my picture, cheese
I'm hot like Craig Mack, "One thousand degrees"
My face shown on mad TV's
When I come fans warm and transform like bees
Hmmm, been rappin before CD's
I'm so cold, everything around freeze (brr!)
Go ahead, talk about me please
You can stop me here, but I'm big overseas
On Relentless, Erick Sermon takes a more serious turn, addressing things such as rumors of him being gay and blaming Wendy Williams for stirring the initial rumors, his views on the current rap scene, his past successes and achievements, as well as concerns of him being washed up. Perhaps the most significant line on the song being Erick addressing the state of EPMD, who had not worked together since their 1999 album “Out of Business” at the time.
“Some ask about EPMD's prognosis
But it won't happen till P get focused”
EPMD would reunite again in 2007 to release “We Mean Business” Highly recommend it for those who enjoy their stuff.
Next track up is Jackin For Rhymes. This is probably my all time favorite skit on any album. The premise is that Erick Sermon and Redman break into a studio, not to steal money or items of monetary value, but instead to rob rappers of their rhymes
“I don’t want no jewels! Yo dawg did I ask you for your jewels? I came here just for rhymes!”
“Yo I want all sixteens, I want twelves, I want eights”
Street Hop is where the album really showcases Erick Sermon’s skills as a producer. With this and Dead Presidents II, sampling a Nas line for the chorus seems like a surefire way to make a dope song. Featuring a super dope verse from Redman, this song is just a testament to how well these two work together as we get a lightning in a bottle of a track reminiscent of when they first worked together.
Chillin is another favorite Erick Sermon beat of mine. Great verses from Erick, Whip Montez, and Kweli especially. Each artist making the chorus their own was a nice touch too. Thinking about this song now gives me a bad taste with how Kweli has tarnished his own rep, because this really is a dope verse from him and a reminder of what could have been had he stuck to his craft instead of shitposting on twitter.
I stand cooler than a Minnesota winter
Nigga, hotter than the blocks where guns bust over dinners
Plus, all the sinners got dreams they running after
Working a 9 to 5 now is like you hustling backwards
In Like Me, Erick and Def Squad protégé Sy Scott showcase their lyrical skills. Erick had collaborated with Sy Scott in his previous albums, and was promoting him and pushing for him to break out, even going as far as teasing in the Chilltown, New York CD Booklet that a Sy Scott album was coming soon, titled Sy-chotic, which never came out. Sy Scott is an okay rapper, but I personally felt bothered by his voice throughout the album, sounds like 2000s era MC Ren trying to imitate Jay-Z or that one guy from Camp Lo.
For whatever reason there was a Matrix skit. With the Morpheus character presenting the red and blue pills to the listener, with the blue pills=no record sales, red pills=selling tons of records, nothing crazy here.
God Sent features Erick reflecting on the longevity of his career and throwing some flex bars, with the addition of acknowledging his growth as an artist. Dope song all around.
So save your opinion, you wanna hear that old
"You're a Customer" type flow, when I rhyme slow
That was 15 years ago - if you wanna hear that
Then buy that tape, and hear that flow”
Erick Sermon continues the theme of bringing up his past career in **I’m Not Him. Not a bad track, but nothing that stands out in particular besides a nice beat Erick flexing that he got Redman and Keith Murray signed. After that song we get yet another skit, titled MC One Bar. Just a fake interview with an MC One Bar who is asked to rap a preview of his album and drops a single bar.
E-Dub hits again on the production with Feel It, turning a throwaway intro line from a Sean Paul song into a single. Following that smooth beat is maybe the most jarring beat on the album with Future Thug. Would probably be my least favorite song on the album, but Redman saved the song with his verse
Erick Sermon gets serious once again in Do You Know, acknowledging that fame and money won’t always be there and that stars get churned out and discarded when they no longer produce the same results.
I was once one of y'all, I admit
But I never judge a book by it's cover, my own was ripped
Look, most of y'all was a first class member
And now you're gone and it's past November
What happen when the clock stop (uh?)
Injury, and no more wicked jump shots (two!)
ESPN ends...
There goes your 2 million fans and there goes your friends (uh-huh)
They don't care who you are and what you did
You a "Where Are They Now?" VH-1 type kid (it's over)
It wouldn’t be a proper Erick Sermon album without an appearance from Keith Murray, as he finally shows up in Listen. Not sure if it’s just me, but the production and flow of this song remind me of Def Squad’s El Nino album, with its bass lines and high energy.
Before closing out the album, the skit Hip Hop precedes the final song. While the other three skits were goofy, this one is different tonally, with a voice who introduces himself as “Hip Hop” personified, tells the listener that as long as they are real and original, he will feed them. It’s a nice sentiment, and though it might not be true of the actual music industry, it reflects what Erick values in his peers.
The last song, Can U Hear Me Now is just Erick Sermon being a goofball, making really cheesy bars but owning it. While lines such as “I never took my dog to the vet, And I download songs off the net” and “Caught me a flick I saw X-Men 2, Where My Dawgs At? I'm a X fan too” would not pass for a good song, I liked that he made the whole song just bad throwaway bars, it was nice to hear him have fun with it.
Conclusion:
Although this album was the start of Erick Sermon’s decline in sales, I think he handled his new role as an underground artist with grace, embracing the 90’s NY sound that has defined him and his career from EPMD to his Def Squad production and solo work. This album cements him as a top 5 emcee for me and I would argue he should be in the conversation for one of the best rappeproducers.
Questions:
Where would you rank this album in Erick Sermon’s discography?
With the amount of production work he has done for EPMD, Def Squad, and himself, should he be in the discussion for one of the all time great hip hop producers? If not, what is keeping him from being in the conversation?
Does this album have too much Sy Scott?
Where would you rank this from a production standpoint when comparing it to the other albums he's produced?

2020.07.21 01:09 LearningIsListening A not-so-brief rundown of the letter M in Jeffrey Epstein's 'Little Black Book'

Below is a rundown of the letter M under Epstein's contacts. Last year, I wrote about letters A-C. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/cpis3n/a_brief_rundown_of_the_first_ten_pages_of_jeffrey/).
I also wrote about letters D-F on July 5, 2020. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/hlrba8/a_notsobrief_rundown_of_letters_df_in_jeffrey/).
I posted letters G-I on July 13, 2020. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/hqko0y/a_notsobrief_rundown_of_letters_gi_in_jeffrey/).
I posted letters J-L on July 15, 2020. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/hrq9bg/a_notsobrief_rundown_of_letters_jl_of_jeffrey/). There are some misspelled names. Epstein entered their names like this.
I have bolded some of the more interesting connections and information, but there could be much more that I overlooked. I hope something here strikes an interest in someone and maybe we can get more investigations out of this. Please, if you know anything more about any of these people than what is presented here, post below. I am working off of the unredacted black book found here: https://www.coreysdigs.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Jeffrey-Epsteins-Little-Black-Book-unredacted.pdf
M
Mack, Carol & Earl: Carol Mack (nee Dickey) is an interior designer. Carol is a friend of Epstein and Ghislaine (https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/carol-mack-jeffrey-epstein-and-ghislaine-maxwell-attend-news-photo/1161443015?adppopup=true). Earle Mack was the US Ambassador to Finland from 2004-2005. He is a businessman involved in real estate and investing.
Macmillan, Dave & Bella: David is a publisher and the grandson of Harold Macmillan, former British Prime Minister (1957-1963). Bella is a British socialite and author. She also designed dresses for Princess Diana. They are now divorced. David and Bella made news in 2015 when it was revealed that Michael Lynton, the CEO of Sony Pictures, jokingly mentioned firing the UK culture minister so that David can take over (https://www.theregister.com/2015/04/18/sony_emails_lynton_vaizey/). David and Bella were voted a top 50 power couple over the age 50 back in 2013.
Magaziner, Ira C: Was the senior advisor of policy development for President Bill Clinton. He now serves in a leadership role for the Clinton Foundation. He is a CEO and Vice Chairman of the Clinton Health Access Initiative which helps people gain access to medicine and health services in low and middle income countries, most notably in Africa. Remember, the Clintons helped bail out their colleague, Laura Silsby, who was caught trying to traffick 33 Haitian children (https://harvardhrj.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/14/2009/09/King.pdf). Most importantly, Magaziner traveled on the Lolita Express on several occasions (https://www.golocalprov.com/news/exclusive-sexual-predator-jeffrey-epstein-tied-to-ris-ira-magaziner-father), including the infamous flight that included Epstein, Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Naomi Campbell, and Chris Tucker. Magaziner also flew with Ghislaine Maxwell, also (https://www.golocalprov.com/news/new-epstein-associate-maxwell-who-flew-with-ira-magaziner-arrested).
Maguire, Jennifer: Jennifer Maguire Isham is the former president of the Tribeca Film Festival where she worked closely with Robert De Niro. There are tons of pictures of them together. Before that, she was senior vice president of programming at CNN and worked at ABC where she was a producer and senior staff member at Primetime Live and ABC News. Her husband is VP and Washington Bureau Chief for CBS News. Jennifer and her husband were photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell at Epstein friend Peggy Siegal’s birthday party in 2007 (https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/jennifer-maguire-isham-chris-isham-and-ghislaine-maxwell-news-photo/609461442).
Mahler, Giovanni: Businessman in the gas industry. He co-founded Navigator Gas shipping company. The most interesting story revolving around Mahler can be read here (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/millionaires-wife-is-killed-by-speedboat-in-sardinia-305350.html). Mahler was on a motorboat on the way to his yacht in Sardinia where close friend Flavio Briatore (Briatore is Naomi Campbell’s ex-boyfriend and was photographed with Epstein victim Virginia Roberts several times - https://www.the-sun.com/news/265368/prince-andrew-epstein-scandal-accuser-virginia-roberts-posts-chilling-message-aimed-at-naomi-campbell-and-ghislaine/) waited. On the way to the yacht, Mahler and the others on board struck and killed Alex Ciardi, wife of investment banker Giuseppe Ciardi. Turns out that Alex Ciardi worked with the NSPCC, a children’s charity that several others in Epstein’s ‘black book’ (Jemma Kidd, Tim Jeffries, Mary Glanville, Clare Hazell-Ivaegh, Ben Holland-Martin) and Princess Margaret have served. The accident occurred close to Silvio Berlusconi’s villa. Berlusconi is a billionaire businessman and four-time former Prime Minister of Italy who throws infamously raunchy Bunga Bunga parties. He was convicted of paying an underage prostitute for sex, but those charges were later overturned.
Mahoney, Sean: A long-time investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.
Mailer, Michael: Movie producer. Son of Norman Mailer, the famous author and journalist.
Mailman, Josh: Not enough info.
Malek, Harry & Didi: Diddi owns a fine art consultancy company that gives guidance to buyers and collectors. No info on Harry.
Malenga (Mandela) Machel: A managing director at Whatana Investments Group in Mozambique. His father, Samora Machel, was the first president of Mozambique. He died in an airplane crash in 1986 under mysterious circumstances. His mother, Graca Machel, runs the company. After her husband Samora died, she married Nelson Mandela, who died in 2013.
Malina, Marjorie: Wife of Frank Malina who co-founded Aerojet, an American rocket and missile propulsion manufacturer. Frank went on to become head of scientific research at UNESCO before creating Leonardo, a peer-reviewed research journal. Frank was inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame in 1990. Marjorie is the mother of Ghislaine’s brother-in-law, Roger Malina.
Malkin, Shelly & Tony: Shelly comes from major oil money. Her grandfather founded Belco Petroleum, which was bought out by Enron in the ‘80s. Tony is the chairman, president, and CEO of Empire State Realty Trust, the real estate investment company that owns the Empire State Building, and other properties around New York.
Mallinckrodt, Mr. Philip: A former investment banker with Credit Suisse, Schroders, and Citibank. Has served as non-executive director of The Economist, a weekly newspaper that focuses on current affairs, international business, politics, and technology, for the last three years. The Rothschild family owns 21% of shares in the company. Mallinckrodt is a member of The Pilgrims Society and takes part in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Manconi, John: Businessman who hosts super exclusive charity polo events attended by Prince Charles, Harry, and Andrew (https://variety.com/2002/scene/vpage/royals-have-splendid-time-1117868882/).
Mandelson, Peter: European Trade Commissioner from 2004-2008. A Labour party politician who held several cabinet posts under suspected pedophile Tony Blair and was First Secretary of State from 2009-2010. Mandelson was a very close friend of Epstein’s. Mandelson (allegedly) phoned Epstein in 2009, while Epstein was in jail, to ask Epstein to arrange a meeting with him and Jamie Dimon, the head of JP Morgan. Epstein agreed to do so, often addressing Mandelson by the nickname “Petie” (https://nypost.com/2019/10/20/uk-politician-peter-mandelson-allegedly-called-jeffrey-epstein-in-jail-for-a-favo). Mandelson was introduced to Epstein through Ghislaine Maxwell (they met through her father), who he has been friends with since the 1980s. He is also a very close friend of Prince Andrew. Mandelson is confirmed to have stayed on Epstein’s island and had dinner at Epstein’s NYC mansion with Donald Trump, David Blaine, and Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7412517/Peter-Mandelson-Jeffrey-Epstein-Ex-Labour-minister-shopping-depraved-financier-2005.html). If you scroll through the article, you will see pictures of Mandelson shopping with Epstein, as well as pictures of him with Prince Andrew. Mandelson has long been suspected of giving tax breaks to Russian oligarchs, although he has denied these charges. Mandelson is gay and has been living with his partner for over 20 years.
Manfredini Alessandro: A sculptor and graphic artist who turned to modeling in his 40s (https://made-to-measure-suits.bgfashion.net/article/14889/77/Alessandro-Manfredini-the-man-who-became-famous-with-his-beard).
Mangope Eddie: Son of Lucas Mangope, former President of Bophuthatswana in South Africa, a nation which further propagated apartheid.
Manners, Eddie: Lord Manners is the son of the 10th Earl of Rutland and an investment banker. He lives at Haddon Hall, a beautiful old mansion.
Manners, Miss Lucy: An interior designer who is the cousin of Eddie (mentioned above) and the Duke of Rutland. Lucy is a very close friend of Sarah, Duchess of York (Prince Andrew’s first wife), a close friend of Epstein’s, and even served as her lady-in-waiting. Manners lives at Eastnor Castle, which houses 96 rooms.
Manners, Terssa: Teresa is the daughter of the 10th Duke of Rutland and sister of Eddie and the 11th Duke of Rutland. She was the cover girl for Tatler and posed for Vogue, two magazines that feature many Epstein contacts.
Manzano, Jose Luis & Alejandra: Jose Luis is an Argentine businessman and former politician. He is a partner in Grupo America, the second largest multimedia group in the country. He has given money to the Clinton Foundation and The Climate Reality Project ran by Al Gore.
Mappin, John: Scientologist owner of Camelot Castle and is a “central figure behind Turning Point UK, the British arm of the pro-Trump American student organization” (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/jan/11/trum-and-farage-supporter-flies-flag-for-qanon-rar-right-conspiracy).
Margolis, Eric: A journalist who worked as contributing editor for the Toronto Sun and has appeared on CNN and on the Huffington Post website. He inherited Canadian vitamin manufacturer Jamieson Laboratories, which he sold for $300 million in 2014. Margolis chastises Epstein, Maxwell, Clinton and others and denies doing anything inappropriate, although he does claim to have been to Epstein’s homes in NYC and Florida. He says that he suspected it was a ‘honey trap’ (https://ericmargolis.com/2019/07/the-honey-trap-on-e-71st/).
Marks, Stephen & Alisa: Stephen is the founder and chairman of French Connection clothing brand. Alisa is his gold digging ex-wife.
Marocco, Manilo & Pia: Manilo is an investment banker. He attended a gala for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), along with Ghislaine Maxwell, Naomi Campbell, and several other people mentioned in Epstein’s contact list (https://www.tatler.com/gallery/the-nspccs-charity-gala). The number of suspected pedophiles and child traffickers that are involved with the NSPCC is mindblowing. His ex-wife, Pia, is close friends with Allegra Hicks (https://www.pressreader.com/uk/evening-standard-west-end-final-extra-es-homes-and-property/20080305/281767034925175), who is also in Epstein’s book.
Marsh, Jeremy: Has served as a managing director and president of Warner Bros. Records, Virgin, Telstar, and RCA.
Marterier, Astrid: A fashion consultant who used to work as VP of Global Sales and Merchandising for several brands, including Von Furstenberg, whose family makes several appearances on this list.
Martins, Peter: Leader of the New York City Ballet who was forced to retire in 2018 because he was accused of sexually abusing his dancers, dating back decades (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/01/arts/dance/peter-martins-resigns-ballet.html). Of course, he was eventually found to be innocent of these charges. Coincidentally, it seems as though Epstein target dancers at NYC studios, including one who was approached by an intermediary after ballet class (https://www.pointemagazine.com/jeffrey-epstein-dancers-2640183763.html?rebelltitem=2#rebelltitem2).
Marzotto, Matteo: Fashion mogul. Marzotto’s family owned Valentino fashion before selling in 2006. He used to date scumbag supermodel Naomi Campbell, who is embroiled in Epstein’s child trafficking and child abuse ring. They broke up because of her fiery temper (https://www.bild.de/news/bild-english/supermodels-ex-matteo-marzotto-says-temper-caused-split-8361996.bild.html).
Mason, Christopher: A journalist and author who writes about the rich. Best friend of Ghislaine Maxwell. Sang a raunchy song for Ghislaine at her birthday party in 1994 (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/15/us/ghislaine-maxwell-epstein.html). Mason is going to appear in the docu-series, “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” next month and has turned his back on Maxwell since finding out about her participation in the pedophila and child trafficking ring (https://nypost.com/2020/07/04/friends-fear-ghislaine-maxwell-is-in-danger-worried-for-her-safety/). The fact that he is denying any knowledge of what happened and is actually participating in this docu-series should tell you how full of shit this guy is.
Massimo, Parisi: Founder of Baltic Model Management.
Mattsson, Carolina: Owns a consulting company in Sweden. No other info found.
Mavroleon, Caitlin: Creative Consultant and Creative Direct for Art for Youth London, a charity that raises money for UK youth. Comes from a family of Greek shipping magnates.
Mavroleon, Basil & Carina: Basil is still involved in shipping, working at Genco as an Independent Director.
Mavroleon, Carlos: This guy lived a life-and-a-half. Heir to the family fortune, Carlos became disillusioned with his privileged status. He moved to Afghanistan and converted to Islam. He moved back to Britain two years later, heavily involved with drugs, specifically heroin. Despite this, he went to Harvard and became a friend and guest of the Kennedys at their home in Hyannisport. After nailing Mary Richardson, Bobby Kennedy Jr’s future wife, he joined the Mujahideen and even led attacks against the Russians. He returned to Britain and nearly married the daughter of former British politician Michael Heseltine, who has some serious pedo connections and is listed in Epstein’s book (check out my G-I thread for more info). Carlos would go on to become a war reporter and was charged with looking for Osama Bin Laden for the news program ‘60 Minutes’. He was found days later, dead of a heroin overdose, in a sleazy hotel on the outskirts of town. Many conspiracies abound (including from his family) who believe he was murdered because he was found with a heroin needle and it was well known that he never injected (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1216159/The-drug-addict-friends-haunt-Trinny-Woodall.html).
Mavroleon, Manoli: From the same Greek shipping magnate family. His name was listed in the Panama Papers (https://offshoreleaks.icij.org/nodes/11000305) for using offshore tax havens.
Mavroleon, Mr. Bluey: Father of Carlos (above) and Nicholas (below). Ran the family company for a while.
Mavroleon, Nicholas & Barbara: Nicholas works in the family business. His ex-wife, Barbara Carrera, is a model and actress.
Maxwell & Laurens, Ms Anne: Anne is Ghislaine’s eldest sister. She is a failed actress who became a hypnotherapist in Surrey.
Maxwell Malina, Christine: Older sister of Ghislaine. Used to run the West Coast office of Pergamon Press for her father in the ‘70s and ‘80s. She is a successful Internet content pioneer and educator. Rumors swirl about her involvement with tracking software and working for Israeli intelligence. Twin sister of Isabel (below). There is a great article on the Maxwells and their in-laws, particularly Christine’s husband, Roger Malina (https://www.thedailybeast.com/jeffrey-epstein-friend-ghislaine-maxwell-has-more-skeletons-in-her-family-closet-than-a-house-of-horrors?ref=scroll).
Maxwell, Debbie: No info found.
Maxwell, Dr & Mrs Philip: Philip is Ghislaine’s older brother. Had a horrible relationship with his father. Wanted to become a writer.
Maxwell, E: Ghislaine’s mom. Died in 2013.
Maxwell, Ian & Tara: Ian is Ghislaine’s brother and a businessman. In 2018, he and his brother Kevin (listed below) founded the UK Think Tank called Combating Jihadist Terrorism (CoJit), which is ironic considering that most, if not all, of the family are likely Israeli intelligence.
Maxwell, Isabel: Older sister of Ghislaine. Co-founded Magellan with sister, Christine, and has served on the World Economic Forum (as has Philip Mallinckrodt, listed above). Along with twin sister, Christine, is rumored to be involved in tracking software and Israeli intelligence. This Reddit thread on the family is rather fantastic (https://www.reddit.com/Epstein/comments/eswqq4/ghislaine_maxwells_sisters_involved_with_silicon/).
Maxwell, Kevin and Pandora: Kevin is Ghislaine’s older brother and co-founder of the UK Think Tank called Combating Jihadist Terrorism (CoJit) with brother Ian (above).
Maxwell, Marcella: Ghislaine’s niece. Daughter of Philip Maxwell.
Mayhew, Mr John: Owner of the famous Rules restaurant in Covent Garden. Inherited the Lartington Estate.
Mazandi, Yassi: Sculptor and painter.
Mazzoti, Mateo: Violin maker.
MC & Allenor: Not positive. Could be a garden designer. Typing in the address from Epstein’s book led to this site (http://www.gardens-guide.com/gardenpages/_0532.htm), which has an email address at the top that reads [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), a close match to the email address in Epstein’s book.
McAlpine, Alistair & Romilly: Baron McAlpine of West Green was a close advisor to Margaret Thatcher and served in the House of Lords for 26 years. McAlpine was falsely accused (supposedly) of child abuse by the BBC program, Newsnight. He won £185,000 in damages from BBC and £125,000 from ITV, both of which he donated to the children’s charity, Children in Need. Coincidentally, McAlpine collected the work of Graham Ovenden, an artist who drew naked children. Ovenden was found guilty of sexual abuse against children against underage girls, some as young as six-years-old (https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013/oct/09/artist-graham-ovenden-two-years-jail). Romilly was McAlpine’s 2nd wife. Alistair died in 2014.
McDonald, John: NYC-based restaurateur.

Murdoch and Ghislaine’s father, Robert, were rivals since they both owned competing newspapers in the U.S. and abroad (https://c8.alamy.com/comp/B502J2/rupert-murdoch-media-baron-in-conversation-with-fellow-newspaper-owners-B502J2.jpg).
Meister, Todd: Meister is a hedge fund manager who was married to Nicky Hilton for six weeks back in 2004. Hilton later married into the Rothschild family. Meister is a potential witness who might have knowledge of Epstein and Maxwell’s child trafficking and abuse (https://www.the-sun.com/news/778758/jeffrey-epstein-enablers-named-sex-trafficking-underage-victims/). Les Wexner invested a ton of money in Meister’s hedge fund. Todd’s father, Robert, was the one who introduced Epstein to Wexner (https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/07/jeffrey-epsteins-financial-black-book).
Mendoza, Neil: British publisher and entrepreneur. Mendoza served as Chairman for The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, a children’s charity founded by Prince Charles (https://news.sky.com/story/stars-join-prince-charles-to-demand-all-children-get-access-to-the-arts-11491201). 2020.07.20 22:11 DxTrixterz Little appreciation post for No Man's Sky and Hello Games.

When the game got first announced I was like most of you here hyped as hell from what I've seen. What came out on release date was nothing than a disappointment and massive let down and I felt quite upset but 4 years later I can say I am glad I didn't sell it and I was there with each update that came out. No Man's Sky surely came a long road in those 4 years. This game has to be the greatest redemption story in video game history. I'd love to thank Sean Murray and his team at Hello Games for not giving up on the game and on us and for this continuous support for the game. I can finally say that No Man's Sky delivered everything that it promised before launch and more. If this was EA game we would already have like No Man's Sky 10 at full price and Hello Games makes all update for free.

A new mechanic has been added to all nations; the division limit. It represents the total number of divisions that a country can safely support. The AI will simply not build past this limit. Players can build past this limit, but they will be notified when they’re over it (via a flashing alert on their Recruit & Deploy tab) and will receive a malus that increases the more they go over that limit.

2020.07.17 16:49 David-MJ Will the Philadelphia Eagles win OVER/UNDER 9.5 games? By University Stats Prof!

1. Introduction

The Eagles have been a good model of consistency. Over the past 20 years, they have had just four losing seasons.

It wasn’t always pretty, but Philly managed to secure the NFC East title with a 9-7 record last year. They closed out the regular season with a four-game winning streak to edge the Cowboys atop the division.

Unfortunately, Carson Wentz exited the wildcard playoff game early and the team couldn’t overcome his absence in a 17-9 home loss to the Seahawks.

2. Offensive Position-by-Position Breakdown

2.1 Quarterbacks (QBs)

Carson Wentz needs to be applauded for his 2019 performance.

He had to deal with numerous injuries to his receiving corps and yet, he led the team to a playoff spot and he finished with a career-high in passing yards with 4,039. He threw 27 TD passes versus 7 interceptions, while playing all 16 games for the first time since his rookie season in 2016.

In the season finale, his top targets were Boston Scott, Dallas Goedert, Josh Perkins, Deontay Burnett and Greg Ward. Outside of Goedert, none is an established starter in the NFL. The Eagles still secured the NFC East title with a 34-17 road win in New York.

Philadelphia selected Jalen Hurts late in the second round of this year’s draft. He transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma for his senior year since Tua Tagovailoa was projected to be the starter. Hurst was actually replacing Kyler Murray who had just been taken as the number one overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Cards.

Hurts did not disappoint in his lone season with the Sooners. He completed 237-of-340 passes (69.7%) with 3,851 passing yards, along with 32 TD passes and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 1,298 yards with 20 TDs on the ground!

His weaknesses are an average accuracy, inconsistent decision-making and a tendency to take off as a runner too often (sometimes when a receiver was open). He is likely to be used as a gadget player by Doug Pederson this year.

Nate Sudfeld will compete for the backup job. He missed the entire 2019 season due to a wrist injury he suffered during preseason. He was a sixth-round pick out of Indiana in the 2016 draft. He has attempted just 25 passes in the NFL in four years, so it’s hard to tell what to expect from him.

2.2 Running Backs (RBs)

Miles Sanders’ rookie season was a resounding success. He led all rookies with 1,327 yards from scrimmage.

He carried a heavier workload as the season went on. During the first eight games, he averaged 8.3 carries per game, as opposed to 14.1 over the last nine contests (including the playoff loss to the Seahawks).

Jordan Howard’s injury at midseason contributed to the increased usage of Sanders in the backfield. With Howard gone to Miami, the sky’s the limit for second-round pick out of Penn State.

Darren Sproles retired and Jay Ajayi was waived. That leaves the door wide open for third-year man Boston Scott. He flashed big time last year and unquestionably passed my eye test. The 5’6’’ back is very explosive.

Scott made a name for himself in Week #17 as he had to step in for Sanders who sprained an ankle in the first quarter against the Giants. Scott went on to rack up 138 total yards and three touchdowns.

2.3 Wide Receivers (WRs)

This unit was decimated by injuries last year. DeSean Jackson pretty much played just one game, while Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor missed six and five games, respectively.

Despite playing under his age-32 campaign, Jackson showed he still has field-stretching abilities in his lone meeting last year. He was spectacular with 8 catches for 154 yards and a couple of scores. He hasn’t played a full 16-game season very often in his career though.

Jeffery is another aging receiver coming off a significant injury. He underwent Lisfranc surgery, which requires a long rehab period. He’s questionable for the start of training camp.

Since two outstanding seasons in 2013 and 2014 with the Bears, Jeffery has missed four games per year on average, while showing signs of slowing down on the field as well. His 11.4 yards-per-catch average last year was a career low.

To be honest, I feel like Jeffery’s time in the league is coming to an end soon. Lisfranc injuries can be tricky for wide receivers, and full recovery is even more difficult for guys above 30 years of age.

Nelson Agholor was a younger WR who could have provided adequate depth, but he signed with the Raiders. The former first-rounder has not lived up to expectations, but he was still a decent pass catcher, albeit his drops were a big issue last year. Maybe a change of scenery will help rejuvenate his career.

Philly drafted Jalen Reagor with the #21 pick overall last April. He’s a smallish deep threat who is at his best on straight routes. He was good with contested catches, but will it still be the case in the NFL given his size? That’s a big question mark.

Reagor opened a lot of eyes by scoring eight touchdowns as a freshman with TCU after being a high recruit out of high school. He followed up with a great 72-1061-9 receiving line as a sophomore.

Reagor’s numbers dropped quite a bit as a junior (43-611-5), but you can attribute that to having a freshman QB at the helm. He’s an electrifying player who can take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

The competition for the number three role is also likely to involve Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. These two guys have had completely different paths before making it to the NFL.

Ward went undrafted before joining the AAF. He eventually was added to the Eagles’ practice squad, and later on promoted to the 53-man roster until a depleted receiving corps forced him onto the field.

Meanwhile, Arcega-Whiteside had more of a “conventional” journey by being drafted in the second-round of the 2019 draft.

Such resumes would suggest Arcega-Whiteside would be the superior wideout, but that’s not what we saw on the field. He only caught 10-of-22 targets for a disappointing 45% catch rate. He was rarely targeted down the stretch, despite the numerous injuries at the position.

On the other hand, Ward filled in admirably late in the season. Over the final four meetings, including the playoff game, he caught 20-of-25 targets (an 80% catch rate). He clearly deserves a shot as a top reserve for the upcoming season.

2.4 Tight Ends (TEs)

The Eagles have a nice duo at the tight end position with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.

Ertz is a true warrior. He hasn’t missed more than two games in each of his first seven season in the league. Last year, he played with two rib fractures one week after lacerating his kidney. Talk about a tough guy.

His numbers are also staggering. His lowest figures in terms of receptions and receiving yards over the past five years are 74 and 816. That’s truly remarkable! Please note that he’ll be turning 30 years old during the season.

Just like Ertz, Goedert is also a former second-rounder. However, he is four years younger. He caught 58 passes for 607 yards and 5 TDs, all career-highs. He was targeted 4 times per game on average before the team’s bye week versus an average of 7.9 for the remainder of the year. Granted, injuries to other targets probably boosted his numbers, but he still developed nice chemistry with Wentz.

2.5 Offensive Line (OL)

The Eagles have a heck of an offensive line.

You cannot blame Jason Kelce for anything over the past five years. He hasn’t missed any start, while consistently being one of the top centers in the league. As a matter of fact, he was rated as the #1 center in the NFL according to PFF grades last year. He’s now 32 years old.

Left tackle Jason Peters has been just as good as Kelce. He was nominated to nine Pro Bowls in his career and he finished as the number 6 tackle in the league with his 83.4 PFF mark. Unfortunately, the team decided to let the 38-year old hit the free agency market. EDIT: he was re-signed three days ago (this article was written several weeks ago). He is projected to play guard instead of tackle.

Peters will be replaced with 2019 first-round pick, Andre Dillard. Is he ready to take on the full-time job? It remains to be seen, but it will be difficult to fill Peters’ shoes.

As for Lane Johnson, the right tackle finished as the 3rd-best tackle in the league based on the PFF grading system. He’s been very good throughout his seven-year career; the former #4 overall pick has not disappointed at all!

Brandon Brooks also had a huge 2019 season! He ended the year as the top guard in the NFL with a jaw-dropping 92.9 PFF mark. Much like Lane Johnson, Brooks is another player above 30 years old who’s been reliable his entire career.

Left guard Isaac Seumalo started all 16 games for the first time of his career. He’s the one that received the lowest grades on this OL, but finishing 17th out of 81 guards is nothing to be ashamed of! The former third-round pick from the 2016 draft is not as talented as his colleagues, but you could do worse than having him as one of your starters.

The team lost good depth with the departure of Halapoulivaati Vaitai to Detroit. The 2019 season was clearly his best year; it would have been nice to retain him but he signed a huge contract with the Lions.

2020 VS 2019 OFFENSE

When comparing the upcoming 2020 season with last year, there are some positives and some negatives.

Let’s discuss the negative stuff first. I do expect a downgrade on the offensive line. They played at an extremely high level last year with four guys finishing among the 6 players at their respective position (based on PFF rankings). That’s unlikely to happen again, especially with three linemen aged 30 years or above.

Also, second-year man Andre Dillard has good potential, but it will be difficult to match Jason Peters’ 2019 performance. I do expect a drop-off here.

At quarterback and tight end, the situation remains stable.

At the running back position, losing Jordan Howard to free agency won’t hurt too much with the emergence of electrifying Boston Scott. Also, Miles Sanders is expected to take a leap in his sophomore season.

Finally, how could you not expect better production from the WR group? They were hit by the injury bug a lot last year. Agholor’s departure is a moderate blow; getting DeSean Jackson back is a bonus! Hopefully, speedy rookie Jalen Reagor can provide a spark to an offense that sorely missed game breakers last year.

The Eagles offense scored the 12th-highest number of points last year. My final conclusion, based on the arguments above, is that I expect similar production in 2020.

Final call (2020 vs 2019): Stable

3. Defensive Position-by-Position Breakdown

3.1 Defensive Linemen (DLs)

Fletcher Cox is an animal. Plain and simple.

Despite posting his second-lowest sack output of his illustrious eight-year career, he still graded as the 4th-best interior defenders in the NFL based on PFF rankings. On average, he has recorded 6 sacks per year (he only got 3.5 last year)

He has also been very durable; he’s missed just three games out 128. He still has good years to come at age 29.

Tim Jernigan was a decent starter next to Cox, but he clearly wasn’t needed on the team anymore after the Eagles signed stud DT Javon Hargrave. The former Steeler showed steady improvement in each of his first four years in the NFL. His 83.4 PFF mark last year put him in the 8th spot out of 114 DLs.

With Hargrave entering his prime years and Fletcher Cox being a perennial beast, good luck running the ball inside the tackles against the Eagles in 2020.

After playing three years in Indy, Hassan Ridgeway had a below-average season in his first year with the Eagles. He’s more of a rotational player, whom you hope won’t be needed as a starter.

3.2 Defensive Ends (DEs) / Edge Rushers (ED)

Brandon Graham is 32 years old, but he refuses to slow down. He led the team with 8.5 sacks last year, and he has averaged six sacks over an eight-year period!

The guy also finds a way to stay on the field. Can you believe he has missed a single game in eight years! He’s been consistently good and remains a force, both against the run and rushing the passer.

Derek Barnett is a former first-rounder coming off a career-high in sacks with 6.5. However, his 2019 PFF grade was the lowest of his three-year stint in the NFL and he finished as the number 83 edge defender out of 107 qualifiers. He’s an “okay” player.

Vinny Curry played 38% of the snaps last year, but it does not appear like he will be back with the team. At the time of writing, he was still a free agent. He did pick up five sacks last year, but teams seem reluctant to sign him because he’ll be playing his age-32 campaign. He actually played pretty well when called upon.

With Curry gone, the team must hope Josh Sweat will elevate his game. The 2018 fourth-round selection posted his first four sacks of his career last year, but his 62.5 overall PFF mark ranked him as the 76th-best edge defender out of 107 guys.

3.3 Linebackers (LBs)

After playing four years in Buffalo and four years in Philly, Nigel Bradham was cut by the Eagles, mainly for cap reasons. He provided average play at the LB position; he was good in coverage, but he was a liability defending the run.

The team also lost Kamu Grugier-Hill, who signed with the Dolphins. You could characterize him as a decent player, albeit far from being great.

That leaves the team pretty thin at the position.

Nathan Gerry is the lone 2019 starter that is still with the team. He ranked as the 34th-best linebacker out of 89 players. He does not offer much upside, though. It would be stunning to see him crack the top 25 someday.

Can Duke Riley and/or T.J Edwards crack the starting lineup? Neither seem to be an up-and-coming star. Riley was acquired for peanuts prior to last year and he played 35 snaps. As for Edwards, he was an undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin that did well in limited time last year. He proved to be stout against the run.

3.4 Cornerbacks (CBs)

Philly’s back end has been revamped for the upcoming 2020 season.

The Eagles signed one of the best slot corners in the league: Nickell Robey-Coleman. He has received consistently good grades from ProFootballFocus over the past four years. At 5’8’’ he is pretty small, but you couldn’t tell from the quality of his game. He’s a nice addition.

Philly also acquired Darius “Big Play” Slay, who played the first seven years of his career with the Lions. He had a down year in 2019, but I’m not worried he can rebound in a new environment. He’s been covering opponent’s top receivers for a while in this league, and he’s done a good job at it. He has 19 career interceptions.

Ronald Darby’s career has been plagued with injuries recently and he was let go during the offseason. His PFF grade took an enormous drop last year, all the way from a respectable 70.6 in 2018 down to an abysmal 44.8 last year. He signed a one-year deal with the Redskins.

Rasul Douglas and Avonte Maddox are still on the team, but neither has proven to be an impactful contributor. Both graded as very below-average corners in 2019.

3.5 Safeties (S)

Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod both played the entire 2019 season. They ranked as the 32nd- and 52nd-best out of a bunch of 87 safeties.

The organization and Jenkins couldn’t agree on a deal, so the Eagles had to let him go after six very successful seasons. He picked off 11 passes during his six-year stint in Philly. He signed with the Saints, with which he spent the first five seasons of his career. Even though he wasn’t getting any younger, his present will be missed.

McLeod’s 2019 PFF grade was the lowest he had obtained over the past five years, but he still did a decent job.

Jalen Mills will be one piece of the puzzle in replacing Jenkins. But let’s face the reality: he has been pretty awful throughout his four-year career, except 2017 where he did better.

Another option will be newly acquired Will Parks, who is coming over from Denver. However, he’s clearly not a long-term solution either. He’s pretty versatile, but he’s a below-average player.

2020 VS 2019 DEFENSE

This unit was upgraded quite a bit during the offseason at two positions, but it also suffered a severe downgrade at a couple others.

First, acquiring Javon Hargrave to team up with Fletcher Cox on the interior of the line was big! At CB, getting Darius Slay and Nickell Robey-Coleman will provide much needed help at a position that has caused headaches for years in Philly.

Unfortunately, the defense lost its best safety when Malcolm Jenkins signed with the Saints. Also, even though none of them was a true difference maker, losing linebackers Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill creates a hole.

Since the team acquired some big time players while losing good/average players, I envision a small improvement. In 2019, the Eagles finished in the middle of the pack in terms of points allowed per game (15th out of 32 teams). I envision Philly finishing around the #10-#13 spot this year.

Final call (2020 vs 2019): Small upgrade

4. Regular Season Wins

According to sportsbooks, the Eagles are expected to win 9.5 games this season. Should we bet the “over” or the “under”?

Here is the methodology I used in order to answer this vital question:

2020.07.16 09:43 truecrimewithbree MURDERED: Who Killed Garrett Phillips?

It was a normal Monday afternoon in Potsdam. The weather was a bit cloudy and rainy, but that wasn’t that unusual for October weather in upstate New York. Everything seemed well in the neighborhood, until the sound of an unknown scream echoed throughout the area. It was unclear to the neighborhood who it was, but at approximately 5:00 PM, neighbor Sean Hall heard it. Sean told the police that it was difficult to hear what was happening, but that there was a loud thud and a call out that possibly said, “no,” or “help.” Before Sean and his fiance, Marisa Vogel, call the police to tell them what they have heard, they decide to walk over to the apartment to check themselves. They knew that a mother and her two children lived in the apartment, so it wouldn’t be very uncommon if the boys were just playing around or wrestling and knocked over something to cause the noise. The couple knock on the apartment door and actually hear someone walking towards the door on the other side; however, the door never opens. To their complete surprise, something else happens. As they anticipate the door to open and to clear this entire mess, they instead hear the person on the other side walk right up to the door and lock it.
According to cell phone records, Sean Hall’s fiance called the police to report the disturbing sounds next door at 5:07 PM. In a panic, the officers arrived at the scene less than ten minutes later. Police Officer Mark Wentworth approached the apartment door at 100 Market Street, completely unaware of what he was about to uncover. He raised his hand, knocked on the door, and received no answer. He waited a moment, knocked again, and still got no answer. Distant inside, he heard movement around the apartment. As his heart began to race, he once again knocked on the door and yelled out, “Police!” Time passes by and it is now 5:24 PM. He continues to wait, and wait, and wait. But at this point, he could no longer hear any movement inside the apartment. He spends ten minutes waiting for someone to come answer the door. He then hits the door with his police stick and yells out for whoever it is on the other side to open up, but nobody does.
He thought to himself that since there were children inside the apartment, he decided not to force the door down. Instead, Wentworth contacted the landlord and requested for him to come to the apartment with keys to unlock the door. While waiting on the landlord, he takes a look around the area. He notices a couple near the back of the building changing a tire, but that’s it. A few minutes later, the landlord finally arrives at the apartment building a little after 5:30 PM. The two of them are now able to unlock the apartment door. As the two men open the door, they both scan the room. Nothing seems out of the ordinary at first look. The kitchen light was on. You could tell that it was lived in. The apartment was a bit cluttered, with a few random articles of clothing or books lying around, but what home isn’t? However, what Wentworth did notice was that whoever was walking around in the apartment earlier, was not there. He continues to go from room to room, inspecting every little detail in hopes that he would find something that would explain the eerie noises from earlier. Wentworth walks into the master bedroom and what he sees inside makes his heart stop.
Lying on the bed is unconscious 12 year old Garrett Phillips. Without any time to waste, Wentworth quickly checks the boy for a pulse and radios in paramedics and an ambulance. Other officers are quick to contact the family, Tandy Cryus, Garrett’s mother. Whom they later learn is at the middle school with Garrett’s younger brother for his basketball practice. Tandy and other concerned family members quickly rush to the hospital for Garrett. Since Potsdam is such a small village, news usually is quick to travel, especially news as concerning as this. Because of the size of the town and everyone knowing each other, friends of Garrett also arrive at the hospital. Even some of Tandy’s ex-boyfriends do as well.
At this point, an immense amount of questions begin to rise. What caused Garrett to become unconscious? Was it an accident? If not, who would want to harm an innocent, 12 year old boy? Of course nobody wants to believe that this situation was something with evil intent, so that was the farthest from everyone’s minds right now. However, with investigations like this one, it can never be completely ruled out. But despite what everyone had hoped, the situation begins to take a downhill turn when doctors notice something strange on Garrett’s neck. He had a few bright red markings on it and also had what looked like rug burn on his knees. His neck was actually in bad enough shape for the doctor to ask Tandy if Garrett would ever want to harm himself, which she quickly shot down. Despite all the life saving measures the doctors at Canton-Potsdam Hospital performed on Garrett, he was pronounced dead at 7:18 PM.
Now, let’s take a few steps back. Here’s what we know: the couple in the same apartment complex heard a loud thud and muffled noises, the strange, unknown person behind the door locked it instead of answering, and Garrett was found in the apartment completely alone and unconscious. All of this leaves us with one question, who was the person who locked the door? At the scene, Wentworth did in fact state that the apartment seemed like a normal place. Certainly lived in, but nothing that really seemed to scream out, “danger.” However, the more he took into detail, the more he found that there were some things inside that raised a few red flags. While Wentworth and other authorities took note of the apartment, taking photos and whatnot, there was something that caught his eye in another bedroom. Inside the room, there was evidence that the window blinds had been damaged. It was almost like someone had pulled the string to raise them too quickly and they got tangled up together. The window was also the only one open in the entire apartment and the protective screen also had obvious damage done to it as well. Whoever was in the apartment earlier must have used the window to escape.
Remember when I said earlier that there were tons of people who checked on Garrett while he was in the hospital? Even Tandy’s ex-boyfriends? Well, as the incident spread throughout the town, word got around of some strange suspicions about one person. This person actually didn’t seem to care that Garrett was in the hospital and actually did not go out of his way to visit him or see if he was okay, despite his past relationship to the young boy. This person is known as Oral “Nick” Hillary, Tandy’s most recent ex-boyfriend. According to family members, they were under the impression that Nick didn’t even like Garrett.
Unfortunately, one of the main reasons Nick stood out to everyone in Potsdam is because he was one of the very few black men in this predominantly white town. Nick is an immigrant from Jamaica; however, it didn’t take him long to fit right in to the community by becoming the head men’s soccer coach at Clarkson University. Tandy and Nick’s paths crossed in 2010 when Tandy was working as a bartender at one of the area's local bars. The two of them immediately connected over the fact that they both share a common trait of enjoying soccer. Although they both had romantic relationships with other people at the time, their friendship quickly grew and eventually began dating. Which obviously stirred up a bit of drama between the ex-boyfriend and Nick. Prior to Tandy and Nick dating, Tandy was in a relationship with a man named John Jones, who was actually the sheriff’s deputy at the time. This information will come into play later.
Nick and his children actually live with Tandy and her two boys for about a year; however, Nick moves him and his children out about a month prior to Garrett’s death due to problems in the couple’s relationship. Tandy says that the reason her and Nick split up is because her sons didn’t really like him, especially Garrett. According to Tandy, Garrett and Nick were always “butting heads” because of how strict Nick’s rules were. Garrett and his younger brother also didn’t like Nick because of the racist comments other kids their age would make about the relationship.
The more and more people talked about the young boy’s death, the more Nick became a popular suspect. People began circulating rumors such as that Nick didn’t like Garrett and that Nick just couldn’t get over the breakup. People even began wondering if this was good enough reason to be Nick’s motive for killing Garrett. If he had killed Garrett, would that eliminate the problems in the relationship him and Tandy had? Would they finally be able to happily be together now that Nick and Garrett wouldn’t have any issues? These are the questions everyone assumed that Nick was thinking.
However, when we (the readers) take a step back and read this, it just doesn’t make sense. If those questions can even be considered a motive, it’s not a strong one at all. The reason that this information circulated and became a suspicion so quickly is because this was the only thing that police had, so they latched onto anything that they could. They wanted someone to be held accountable for Garrett’s unfair death. However, at this point in the investigation it wasn’t even declared yet that it was a homicide because an autopsy hadn’t been performed. It was still the same day that Garrett had died. Later that evening, officials visit Nick to tell him the devastating news of Garrett’s death. Podcast Crime Junkie co-host Brittany made a comment that it, “was kind of weird that an unrelated ex-boyfriend would be notified of this kid’s death.” Which I completely agree with! Why would they notify someone who is no longer in this kid’s or family’s life? I just find it kind of weird. It’s the same situation that say, for example, if you (the reader) were to get injured, the hospital would contact your dad’s ex-girlfriend. It just doesn’t make sense, right? But that’s just my piece on that.
According to the New York Times, Lieutenant Murray is the official who was chosen to relay the information of Garrett’s death to Nick. Murray arrives at Nick’s place and tells him all of what he knows and whatnot. But, he says that Nick’s reaction is something that really stood out to him. Murray states that Nick was “too surprised,” almost like the way he reacted was so extreme where it almost seemed fake or staged. Which keep in mind, the unexpected death of a young boy of course is going to be surprising, but Murray seems to describe that it’s just unnormal.
While Nick was being informed of Garrett’s death, other officials were checking out Tandy’s apartment. They were looking around trying to find some extra clues as to what had happened just hours before. As I had stated earlier, while officer Wentworth answered the call earlier that afternoon, he noticed the damage done to the bedroom window. The tangled up blinds, the damaged protective screen, but what I had failed to mention is that the officials took a look out the window and noticed that on the ground, about 20 feet below, there were cracks in the tile. More and more signs pointed that wherever the unknown person in the apartment had fled, he must have left by jumping out the bedroom window. Although, whoever it was most definitely had to sustain some type of injury, because who jumps 20 feet down and doesn’t at least get a little hurt? A 20 foot drop can cause different kinds of injuries to a person very easily, so this was actually something that police were trying to keep in mind when it came to finding persons of interest/suspects. Also, this leaves room for another question: who jumps out of a 20 foot window and nobody sees it?
On the next page, I have attached a Garrett Phillips timeline that I found on the North Country Public Radio’s website. Like I said earlier, the only people who were outside during the midst of all of this were the couple changing the tire behind the apartment complex. Whoever had jumped out of the window had to have done it at the exact right moment, because the couple claims that they didn’t see or hear anything. Now this person only had a small window of 13 minutes before the police were called to the scene and when they arrived. This person might have been waiting until there were no people outside or for the couple changing the tire to be gone, but either way this person waited until the very last moment to get out of the apartment.
Police soon start interrogations and begin by first starting with Garrett’s mother, Tandy. However, Tandy didn’t really see Garrett a lot the day he died. She says that she was at work early that day and then picked up her younger son from day care and took him to basketball practice at the school. Shortly before Garrett died, he was playing basketball with some of his friends. A few minutes before 5:00 PM is when Tandy calls Garrett to let him know he should head home and finish up some homework. This was the last time Tandy spoke with her son, she told authorities. Police investigators interview the rest of Garrett’s close friends and family to rule out any other suspects when the results of the autopsy came in. Garrett’s cause of death was due to strangulation. It was at this moment when police received this information that they realized that they were dealing with a much more serious situation than they thought.
We can see on the timeline that Garrett began skateboarding home at 4:52 PM. However, it is also on the timeline that Nick’s SUV was seen on several different cameras leaving the school in the same direction at almost the exact same time that Garrett left. Police perform many interrogations to try to narrow it down to a suspect and all their interviews, yet again, point them to one person: Nick. All the signs point to Nick, even Lieutenant Murray states that he went to one of Nick’s soccer games and notices that he is walking with a limp. It felt like that was the icing on the cake for them. The man who is in question for killing a 12 year old boy and escaping by jumping out of a 20 foot window is now walking with a limp, it’s all adding up! At this point, Nick isn’t officially a suspect but the police are keeping an eye on him, so they call him into the station for questioning. However, the police don’t tell him that. They sort of just ask Nick to come into the station to help them with other leads, kinda acting all buddy-buddy, I’m guessing as a way to get Nick to let his guard down. But this doesn’t work on Nick. He sees right through it from the beginning and tries to get the police to be upfront with him about their intentions. Soon enough, Nick basically ends the interview, not answering any questions, and tells the police he is going to get his lawyer. This raises a red flag to the police because they are under the impression that if Nick feels like he needs to get a lawyer, then that means he has something to hide.
Back to John Jones from earlier, the ex-boyfriend of Tandy and the sheriff’s deputy. They also interrogated him. But it was not near as extensive or serious as they felt it was for Nick. When police talked to Nick, they presented him a warrant to collect his clothes, his phone, and other items for testing. Nick has to undress in front of them and let the officers take photos for evidence. The only thing that police find that stands out, in the smallest way possible, is a small scrape on one of Nick’s ankles. Want to know how much of this they did to John while they interrogated him? None of it. They treated John completely differently than they did Nick. They even let John be involved in the case and investigation, which I feel is very unprofessional. Whether it be because John was also a police officer or because he was just a friend, they even listened to him when it came to leads and let John be in the room to hold Tandy’s hand for her interview. I feel that because police showed a lot of slack on John’s side that it kind of ruined any chance for fair play in this case. None of the DNA in Tandy’s apartment even matched Nick’s. I feel that because of his race, Nick was already seen as being guilty before he got the chance to even know what was happening. However, in 2016, Nick waived his right to a jury trial and requested a bench trial, where the judge found him to be not guilty. Nick spoke to ABC News and said he felt like the police “robbed” him of any chance to grieve the death of his ex-girlfriends young son. He feels that the police almost immediately turned to him as a suspect, causing him to turn on his “survival” mindset before he could even blink an eye.
As I end this piece, this leaves us with one question: who killed Garrett Phillips? There are some rumors that maybe children were involved with his death. It was a short lived possibility in the beginning of the investigation, but in hindsight, it makes you think that maybe it was some sort of accident that happened. A game gone horribly wrong? Maybe a child knows something but is just too afraid to come forward. This case is being looked at again recently in 2019 but as of right now, there are no leads. If you, or anyone you know, have any information regarding this case, please contact Potsdam, NY authorities.

2020.07.05 20:18 LearningIsListening A not-so-brief rundown of letters D-F in Jeffrey Epstein's 'Little Black Book'

Below is a rundown of letters D-F of Epstein's contacts. Last year, I wrote about letters A-C. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/cpis3n/a_brief_rundown_of_the_first_ten_pages_of_jeffrey/).
D-F
d’abo, Henri & Tatiana: John Henry Erland d’Abo is the grandson of the 9th Duke of Rutland (more info on what these titles all mean can be found here: https://www.debretts.com/expertise/essential-guide-to-the-peerage/what-is-the-peerage/). Tatjana is his wife. Henry is the chairman of Wilton Payments Ltd, a private company that helps with financial intermediation. He and Christopher O’Neill are the primary shareholders of the company. O’Neill is Tatjana’s half-brother, a British-American financier, and husband to Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, a daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
d’abo, Mrs. Jennifer: British entrepreneur who passed away in 2003. d’Abo was once married to Peter Cadbury from the family of the famous chocolate company. Peter did not work for the company, but he and Jennifer d’Abo had a son together. Their son, Joel Cadbury, became owner of the Groucho Club, a watering hole often frequented by famous people. Three years after Cadbury sold the club, their website became the center of a child pornography scandal (link to story: https://www.sott.net/article/242698-Groucho-Clubs-website-forum-hit-by-child-pornography-scandal)
D’Alessie, Carman: This name turned up no results, however, we can safely assume that this is actually Carmen D’Alessio, the international nightlife guru who helped spawn Studio 54 and other famous clubs. She is a party legend with countless celebrity ties.
d’Arenberg, Prince Pierre: Family lineage can be traced back 1000 years. European royalty. Extremely wealthy not because of his ties to nobility, but because his mother, Margaret Bedford, was an heiress to Standard Oil (Exxon).
d’Uzes, Jacques De crussol: The 17th Duke of Uzes. Not much else found on him. Margaret Bedford married into his family shortly after her divorce with Prince Charles Auguste Armand d’Arenberg, father of Prince Pierre d’Arenberg.
Dabbagh, Amr A.: A wealthy businessman/investor from Saudi Arabia. Dabbagh recently faced corruption charges but settled with the Saudi Arabian government. Has ties all around the world, as he is a member of and/or serves/served on the boards of the World Economic Forum, London Business School, Cleveland Clinic, Jeddah Economic Forum, Harvard Institute for Social and Economic Policy in the Middle East, etc.
Dahl, Sophie: ‘90s-’00s model-turned-author and maternal granddaughter of famous author Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, etc.) Dahl has been seen in photos with Ghislaine Maxwell.
Darrin, Drake: Not much information found. Darrin runs an investment group out of Greenwich, Connecticut. Lived about a mile away from Epstein in NYC.
Dartmouth, William: The 10th Earl of Dartmouth. Member of the European Parliament from 2009-2019. Became a stepbrother of Princess Diana when his mother embarked on a 2nd marriage with Diana’s father, John Spencer.
Davies, Jeff: Most likely refers to the current CFO for Legal & General Group. Davies was once a senior partner at Ernst & Young.
Davies, David & Linda: Sir David Davies is a wealthy banker and businessman with deep connections. A family friend introduced him to David Rockefeller back in the ‘60s, which helped him get his start. Linda, daughter of a Chinese-Malaysian tycoon, is his second wife. They were married for over 20 years but are now divorced.
Davis, Michael: A current partner at N3 Media, Davis has had many jobs. He started out working at CAA, one of the top agencies in the world. Check out this list of celebrities and athletes that they represent (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Creative_Artists_Agency_clients). Davis then went on to produce movies and TV shows before transitioning to digital media.
Day, Nick and Heather: Not much to be found on these two. There are several articles that speak of their ranch in Kenya. Apparently, it is a fairly popular spot where people stay to get some rest and solitude.
de Andrade, Marcelo: An international banker (not the serial killer) who lives within one mile of Epstein’s mansion in NYC. de Andrade was married to Lisa Bjornson, a successful banker and higher-up at J.P. Morgan Securities back in the ‘90s.
de Baecque, Patrick: de Baecque has his hands in online news media (lefigaro.fr) in France. de Baecque was named Director of Sales and Operations at Dolead in 2017. Dolead is a company that is involved with online marketing.
de Cabrol, Milly: A high-end interior designer based out of NYC.
De Cadenet, Alen: Alain de Cadenet is one of Epstein’s many Formula One contacts. Someone here probably knows more about de Cadenet, but he used to be a racecar driver and now works for ESPN and the Speed Channel as a host.
de Clermont-Tonnerre, Hermine: A French princess who used to have a penchant for partying. The only daughter of Charles Henri, 11th Duke of Clermont-Tonnerre, Hermine was one of 500 guests invited to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s 100th birthday back in 2000. Hermine got in a motorcycle crash a month ago that put her in a coma.
De Georgiou, Anouska: A former British Playboy model who claims that Epstein groomed and raped her as a teenager when she met him in the 1990s. Her experience with Epstein is detailed in this article (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9974171/anouska-de-georgiou-jeffrey-epstein-rape-claims-nbc-playboy/). She speaks about how Epstein was able to lure her into the life as a young girl.
De Soto, Fernando: Very difficult to pinpoint. Best guess is that this is the Head of Real Estate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Madrid, Spain. I could be wrong, but this is the one that made the most sense.
Dedieu, Jean & Paulette: Nothing found.
Del Bono, Luca: Co-founder of Quintessentially Group, a hospitality group that specializes in leisure, travel, and tourism.
Dell, Adam: Brother of Michael Dell (Founder of Dell Technologies and 27th ranked richest person in the world in Forbes’s BS rankings that discount the elite families). Adam is a venture capitalist who has a baby with Padma Lakshmi.
Deluca Dina & Fouard Chartuuni: Fouad Chartouni is the president of Kensico Properties, a real-estate holding company in New York. Chartouni and his brother own the Lowell Hotel in New York. The Lowell is a high-end 5 star hotel that caters largely to film executives, fashion design CEOs, publishing CEOs, and financial CEOs. Madonna lived there for nearly a year after breaking up with Sean Penn. Dina Deluca is Chartouni’s wife. She used to work as an assistant in film and television, but now focuses on her DDC28 brand of bath and beauty products.
Derby Earl / Cntess Cass & Ted: Edward Stanley (known informally as Teddy) is the 19th Earl of Derby. Caroline Stanley is Ted’s wife. She was a socialite during the ‘90s and is the daughter of Robin Neville, the 10th Baron Braybrooke.

Ironically, she accused Bill Cosby of raping her back in 1982 and wrote about it in her memoir. When called to the stand during Cosby’s trial, Cosby’s lawyer pointed out the differences between Dickinson’s testimony and her account of the incident in her memoir. Dickinson said that her accusations of Cosby raping her while under oath were the absolute truth, while she took “poetic license” with some of the details in her memoir.

Dorrit was the First Lady of Iceland from 2003-2016 after marrying President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson in 2000. Although Moussaieff claims that Epstein only had her phone number because they “lived on the same street in London sometime between 1978 and 1983,” the Daily Mail published a picture of her and her husband, President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, with Ghislaine Maxwell.

There is a great article detailing Dubin and his wife’s relationship with Epstein here: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/09/glenn-dubin-epstein-questions). Summary of the article: Dubin was the first one accused by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre. Rinaldo Rizzo, Dubin’s chef, testified that sexual activities occurred between Dubin and a 15-year-old girl, which led to him and his wife quitting as personal chefs of the Dubins. Dubin’s wife, Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, dated Epstein for a long time before she married Dubin. The couple was so close with Epstein that even after Epstein was convicted in 2008 and officially a registered sex offender, they invited him to Thanksgiving dinner and wrote a letter to his probation officer that they trusted him around their children, who were all minors at the time. Multiple sources say Epstein was actually their children’s Godfather, but a spokesman for the couple denies it. Glen Dubin and Epstein helped each other with their business ties, as well. Dubin also had other ties with Epstein (personal friends with Les Wexner and others). Dubin and his wife are definitely major players in the Epstein saga.
Dubin, Louis & Tiffany: Louis Dubin is a real estate developer specializing in upper-middle class condominiums. Duesing, Paul: An interior architectural designer who has worked on luxury and personal resorts all around the world. Duesing claims Epstein tried to hire him to work on Epstein’s home on Epstein’s private island back in 2002, but Duesing declined because he didn’t like Epstein. Says he doesn’t even know how Epstein got his number in the first place. Perhaps it was Duesing’s ties with the royal family. He tells stories of getting the Queen Mother drunk, being close with Lord and Lady Lloyd, working on the home of Mohamed Al-Fayed, father of Dodi, Princess Diana’s boyfriend who died in the car crash with her.
Duke of York: Prince Andrew, the toe-sucking pedophile (allegedly), himself. Photographed with victims, Epstein, and Maxwell many times over. His reputation has been completely crushed.

He oversees the strategic development of the Times Company’s international businesses. He also spent 12 years working at The Financial Times. Miranda Dunbar-Johnson is Stephen’s wife. Dzhabrailov was rumored to be romantically linked to Naomi Campbell, supermodel and one of the main suspects in Epstein’s underage sex scandal, in the early 2000s. Dzhabrailov, a supremely wealthy businessman, ran for president in 2000, garnering 0.1% of the vote as an Independent. Dzhabrailov was a partner in Russia’s Radisson Hotel along with American entrepreneur Paul Tatum. After their falling out in 1996, Tatum was shot and killed. Some think Dzhabrailov was responsible while others think he was set up.

Edwards, Andrew & Tracy: Unsure. There was an Andrew Edwards and Tracy Edwards on linkedin who have a background in finance, but it is not conclusive whether or not they are the ones listed here or if they are even married. There is also a Tracy Edwards who is a former British sailor who used to work as a Project Manager for Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and now teaches children of Internet safety and online reputation. This would be a far more interesting connection, but I cannot find anyone by the name of Andrew with a relevant relationship to her.

The BBC has also refused to investigate claims from an ex-Top Gear presenter that Evans “grabbed her breasts and touched himself.” When Evans was 35, he married 18-year-old pop star Billie Piper. They eventually separated and divorced years later.
Eveheart, Angie: Angie Everheart was one of the most well-known models of the 1990s. She has accused Harvey Weinstein of masturbating in front of her.

Tom Parker Bowles, son of Camilla Duchess of Cornwall (Prince Charles’s wife), has claimed that Summer Fields was “a hotbed of the sorts of things that are coming out now,” according to this article (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2812235/Tom-Parker-Bowles-former-headmaster-dismisses-food-writer-s-claims-old-primary-school-hotbed-impropriety-complete-rubbish.html) from the Daily Mail published in 2014. More info can be found on both here: https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/sir-nicholas-fairbairn-child-abuse-scandal-link-1531718 and here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyril_Smith

2020.06.13 21:08 DonkDonkJonk A theory on Rian Johnson's the Last Jedi and it production

When i look back before TLJ came out, there were speculations of RJ's own trilogy and what they would be. However, it's strange that wannabe George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, made him direct the Last Jedi instead.
So this theory is a bit short but it has some things to do with Abrams and the current debacle with Kath cutting up his RotS cut. It begins with TFA. Abrams' mystery box brain child. I suspect that the original story had Finn and Poe as the main characters, much like a buddy cop movie, with Rey as a support or other main character. However, Kath got in the way, being the main influence on Star Wars now, and opted to instead make Rey the main focus, giving her a desert planet and a scrappy home to let the audience see her as the female Luke Skywalker but different, of course.
And all along the way, Abrams' original TFA changed so much that it encouraged him to not come back for the sequel as it mostly likely derailed his plans for the future trilogy.
This made Kath panic, as not having a director for her "star" trilogy was bad for many reasons. For one, i suspect that during the end phases of TFA's production, TLJ's production had just started, which an arguement could be made that the ending of TFA was not Abrams' idea but Kath's. But, she had an out. Rian Johnson. He wouldn't do it willingly though as we see in the announcements.
TLJ is probably THE most controversial Star Wars movie to date. I believe it to be Kath's continued interference with RJ, but unlike Abrams, RJ gave her full control as it was most likely that Kath made a deal with RJ.
RJ would direct TLJ with Kath having full creative control over any element of the movie and in return, RJ would be granted his OWN Star Wars trilogy. I think he genuinely cared about Star Wars, with him using OT puppet Yoda instead of PT CGI Yoda. It's just that this was not his story to tell as best as he could, as evident with Finn and Poe's story in TLJ. What's more, Kath probably hired RJ to be the fall guy as Abrams stated after TFA was finished that he did not wanted to come back. And it worked. RJ became the fall guy as his face was plastered all over TLJ's production in order to shield Kath from the blame if the movie ever failed.
Now, you might say that RJ fervently defended his movie when internet critics went ham on it, which wpuld mean that it was all his idea. Partly, it is true, but we have to realize that you cannot just talk down about something that you sponsored to do. Like Sean Murray and Sony on No Man's Sky, Disney simply wouldn't allow anyone to talk down on their works until their contract was up. And more so, RJ had his own trilogy to worry about, so doing nothing wouldn't be a good thing either. And to make things even worse, Kath was playing 4d chess in this mess of "Hollywood Politics".
See, if RJ's TLJ failed, which it did, Kath knew that the fans of Star wars would be obliged to watch it and even demolish the movie afterwards, making RJ's likeliness of getting his trilogy moot as his reputation with the fans would ruin all chances of doing so. If by some miracle TLJ succeeded, then it proves that RJ would be a great addition to the Star Wars production and his trilogy would be a guranteed money-maker. And none of the blame would fall on her, at least until the actors spoke up about productions, but their contract wouldn't end for years now and Abrams finale to the DT would absolve all the failings that happened before....
But as we know now, it didn't. The movie bombed and Abrams failed yet again. This time, Kath would not be spared.

2020.02.06 15:59 ND_PC The r/MtvChallenge Fantasy Tournament: Redemption House - Day 14 (Round Two)

It’s the second round of the MtvChallenge redemption house, losers! This is where the stakes get even higher for the official Fantasy League™ and for us as well. While in our first round, all teams had records of 0-1 (pffft, scrubs), this is the round where teams must have actually mustered a win in order to compete. All teams in this round are 1-1, so congrats to everyone for being perfectly mediocre at what we do. How exciting! Join us as losers continue to battle head-to-head to fight for redemption, coming back from embarrassing losses, terrifying finals, and (supposed) voter insanity. While you won’t enter back into the Winner’s Bracket, you may just find yourself the Ruler of Redemption.
Before we get to the voting, let’s recap last night’s fantasy draft match-ups. (Recaps today courtesy of u/MandyMTV!)
Real World Bracket
This might have been my favorite match-up in the entire Fantasy Tournament/Redemption House saga, considering the teams with the worst total player compositions went head to head. You have Shane, Sean, and Camila on one side, and Kenny and Tonya working together on the other. I’m utterly confused as to why this wasn’t a 0 - 0 tie, because there is no way on God’s green earth that any of these teams would cross the finish line.
u/mthompson22599’s accurately-named team, “I’m Sorry I Picked Both Tonya and Kenny,” wins this round, which is quite the shame - Camila is a mother-to-be, after all, and she could have used the prize money for all of the diapers and baby food and therapy her new mini-me will need. Just picture it: Camila, screaming and raging on the phone to her baby daddy. Wait - we don’t have to picture it! We already have a real-life representation. Let’s be real, though: we all know Camila will actually get a live-in nanny. Camila’s reaction to changing a diaper will probably be identical to her reaction when eating a pepper on the Spring Break Challenge.
Honestly, though, this will give Camila the break she needs to go home and focus on the things that really matter: speech therapy. She’s from Massachusetts, bitch! She doesn’t have an accent, she has a speech impediment, bitch! She has to get that taken care of, ya know? Plus, Camila thinks Bob Marley is a playboy bunny, so she’s got bigger things to worry about.
See ya next time, u/WhitneyAhn! Congratulations, u/mthompson22599!
Road Rules Bracket
In a close match, u/Delado99 takes out u/ToastyPuff4real’s “Mentally? Bums,” which is completely devastating because that means my jokes about Brad have to end - next round. However, this round, Brad was the reason his team lost. I’m sure of it.
This is how I see it going down: somehow, some way, Rogan orders pizza during the final, as one does. Rogan shares with everyone, but takes the last slice. Brad’s upset. Get gangster about it, Rogan. Brad doesn’t care. He would never be that selfish. It’s not about ice cream or pizza. It’s about people and respecting people in general, for the greater good of everybody. It’s called community. Think about that. Marinate on that. Get back to me.
Brad gets irate. Congratulations, Rogan, you’re a meathead, son. But, you know what? Don’t ever put your fucking hands on his underwear pizza - ever. And that, my friends, is the end of Brad and his crazy eyes.
Combine Brad’s anger with Kailah’s stupidity - her brain is scrambled like eggs, y’all - and that whole team is going down in flames.
Congratulations on having jokers on your team who can order a mean pizza, u/Gelado99!
Now, let’s get to voting!
Real World Bracket
Match: u/NovaRogue’s “Bitches Get Stuff Done” vs. u/honestkodaline and u/priorsloth’s “Adore Delano 2020”
Final: Battle of the Sexes
Editorial: OMG is this really the matchup? I’m gonna cry.
Teams
u/NovaRogue “Bitches Get Stuff Done”
[u/honestkodaline, u/priorsloth] “Adore Delano 2020”
Winner’s Logic
u/NovaRogue’s “Bitches Get Stuff Done”
  1. Rachel R was the winner of 4 dailies and the final on The Duel II, and finished it before any of the dudes. She also won Gauntlet 1 and made the final on Inferno 2. Endurance for days. No glaring weaknesses. She has a brain on her too - she won the spelling daily on Duel 2, alongside Evan.
  2. Ruthie was the leader of the Women on Sexes 1. She was in the Inner Circle every week after the first daily, had the highest cumulative score for the women (and more points than any man outside the Top 3), and got first in 2 dailies, including a shockingly impressive performance in the last daily, Maximum Velocity, winning cars for her whole team. No glaring weaknesses besides pure size, which shouldn’t come into play during a final. Great swimmer and kind leader and team player. Also made it deep on Sexes 2, being eliminated right before the elimination. Won the Royal Rumble on Gauntlet 2 and was only eliminated because she went against Beth in a weight-based elimination.
  3. Jamie M won every wingle season he appeared on. A 3-time champion. Was in the Inner Circle for every except one on Sexes 1, won 2 dailies, and won the final. Was tied for the 3rd best man on the Rookies on Gauntlet 2 outside of Alton and Landon. Truly a great competitor all-around.
  4. MJ tied with Jamie for the 3rd best man on the Rookies on Gauntlet 2, which he won with JAmie. They have proved they can work together. Won 2 eliminations and made it deep on Duel 2, being eliminated right before the final elimination
[u/honestkodaline, u/priorsloth] “Adore Delano 2020”
  1. Other than strong competitors our teams biggest strength is that there is a clear alpha leader (Ev), and the other three are team players that will follow a strong competitor.
  2. EVELYN SMITH WON A SIMILAR FINAL, on Rivals 1! Not only did she win this final, but she did it with Paula. They beat Laurel and Cara Maria who would easily win anything you threw at them today. We know this wasn’t because Paula is a powerhouse, it was literally ALL on Ev. I don’t need to say much more because Ev is iconic, she won 3 seasons, and any true Challenge fan knows her résumé. Game, set, match bitch.
  3. Cohutta may not have a win yet, and he may be on the smaller side of the men, but he is brilliant. He makes the challenges work for him. During this season, Free Agents, he showed incredible agility being one of three people to make it across the rolling log during the first challenge. In the second daily he was partnered with Laurel, and of course they won, but neither could’ve done it without the other. On the third challenge he lead a team of Nany, Latoya and Preston across the bar crawl (sliding two bars under a wall suspended above water) when teams that had Jordan, CT, and Cara couldn’t even make it across! Free Agents was Cohutta’s best run and he finished in 6th place. This season showed us that Cohutta can work on a team with ANYONE and perform above average.
  4. Ashley Kelsey kickboxes. She solves puzzles. She stands up for Sam (well, halfheartedly, but she did at one point stand up for Sam, at least once, in her own way). She dated Dario, and we don't judge her for that. She won her first season. She lost her second season to Cara, but didn't she look cute while doing it?
  5. Ace Amerson invented the trash can punch. He hooked up with Tonya. He was on Team Good Guys on Inferno 3, because he is a good guy. In real life, he rides a lot of 4-wheelers and has a cute dog. He'll listen to Evelyn's orders. He'll be a supportive teammate and friend to all, except Derrick.
  6. Our team is a lean, mean machine - heavy on the lean. We run. We think critically (well, Evelyn does). We fight (well, Evelyn does). We get shit done... well, you get the point.
Battle of the Sexes Final Description - thanks to u/RohAnTheMaker for the great description!
This final will test balance, agility, brains and teamwork. Three main parts where all team members must complete each stage together:
  1. Tri-Ski Slalom - Each member gets on the same two skis and walk as a unit (similar to a three-legged race) across a beach and ovearound obstacles.
  2. Block by Block Brain Teaser - A puzzle where they are assembling blocks of different shapes into a specific shape, similar to the puzzle at the start of Rivals II
  3. PoleCat (Rope Course) - Must climb a rope net to a section where you take planks and connect from pole to pole to create a bridge across a series poles.
  4. Then each person ziplines to a section where they walked a tightrope. After they zipline into the water, each member swims to a flag and races to the finish line on the beach.
Road Rules Bracket
Match: u/SwitchStop's "Mr. Beautiful and the Drowners" vs. u/willtwerkf0rfood
Final: Battle of the Sexes II
Teams
[u/Switchstop] "Mr. Beautiful and the Drowners"
[u/willtwerkf0rfood]
Winner’s Logic
u/Switchstop "Mr. Beautiful and the Drowners"
  1. Self proclaimed ""Mr. Beautiful"", Kenny Santucci has planted himself as one of the all time greats of Challenge history. With 3 wins (technically 4 including The Gauntlet 3) and 7 finals under his belt, there is only 1 season that he did not make it to a final. That season, The Duel, had one of the most challenging and star-studded casts in Challenge history. Kenny has won a total of 35 dailies across 8 seasons, won 5 out of 6 eliminations, and amassed a total of $235,970. One of the greatest puzzlers of all time, the unending endurance through multiple finals and strengths all across the board shows that this man has what it takes. Also literally carried the GOAT Wes through Rivals.
  2. Leroy is a bit of surprising pick I'm sure. Looking at his overall stats, out of 11 appearances, he's only made the final 4 times, and has 0 wins. The unfortunate truth is that Leroy has the absolute worst luck when it comes to partners. On the plus side, this is coming after the PRIME Leroy that I chose. In Battle of the Exes 2, Leroy was in peak performance mode. They may have only won 1 daily, but after going into eliminations 4 times, he and Nia got the job done. Going against some of the greats, they took down Johnny Reilly and Avery, Wes and Theresa, and Bananas and Nany. Then after being paired with Theresa, they finished off Bananas and Nany AGAIN to stop them from making the final. As one of the only players to ever compete and win 4 eliminations in a single season, Leroy can hold it down as much as anyone.
  3. While my two previous competitors should be household names, we'll flip the switch by introducing a fresh face with only 2 seasons under her belt. Natalie ""Ninja"" Duran is a small yet feisty ball of competition. During War of the Worlds 1, Natalie managed to pull off 4 daily wins, an elimination win, and managed to be the only female left standing by the end of the final. She bested the strong Mattie, the durable Georgia, and the all time great Cara Maria during the final 2 day ""Death Path"" which is regarded as the hardest final in challenge history. Whether it's strength, endurance, puzzling, or running a ropes course, she's shown she's more than capable to provide what it takes to make this team compete.
  4. The oft-forgot Sam Mcginn completes the team. Sam has made only 1 appearance on The Challenge, during Battle of the Seasons II. During this season, her and her San Diego co -competitors managed to slide their way into a final, and an eventual win. Winning 4 dailies, and pulling off 2 elimination wins, Sam definitely held her own. The unfortunate side of things is how poorly she was treated on this season. Throughout the entire season, Sam was berated and belittled by Zach and Frank every chance they got. Everyone knows that there is no use in putting people down when running a competition, so I have no doubt that this team here will have nothing but support for Sam. Give her what she needs to run these finals and make another run. One of the forgotten "One and Done" competitors of The Challenge decides to give this one more go.
[u/willtwerkf0rfood] - I, u/ND_PC, was kind enough to provide mostly serious write-ups for this user who will shake their derriere rapidly for digestive sustenance.
  1. Landon Lueck - Oh, you’re a “””young viewer””” of the Challenge and you have “””only watched since Vendettas””” ??? Well if people of your generation need a reason to vote for Landon, then you should know that he was on the same season of The Real World as Karamo from Netflix’s Queer Eye. For those of us who have actually seen Landon on The Challenge, we already know that he’s by all accounts a top-5 male challenger (or better) of all time. While not the optimal political player, Landon is excellent at dailies and, luckily for the sake of this tournament, excellent at finals, too. He is physically dominant and ultra competitive, but in a healthy way. He was only on four seasons but his competitors barely stood a chance.
  2. Svetlana Shusterman sort of has… the same profile as Landon? No, stay with me here: she’s not a great politician, but she has a healthy sense of competition and was pretty formidable. She was a one-season wonder with a second-place finish and she never backed down from a challenge. Okay, so she wasn’t as dominant as Landon (except she certainly excelled in swimming), and her sample size is much smaller, but she was a good teammate and she was physically very tough. She more than held her own during her tenure, and although she doesn’t find herself on any Top-10 female competitor lists today, her heart and her fight would make her much more of an asset than a liability.
  3. Jamie Chung, another one-season wonder, is a highly entertaining champion. How entertaining? She actually married an actor from One Tree Hill, and began a career as an actress herself. She played Mulan on Once Upon a Time, which my college roommate loved but never successfully convinced me to watch. But she was also in The Hangover Part II and Part III! As far as her Challenge strengths, she was fairly athletic, she had a lot of friends in the house, and she was on a team called the “Good Guys.” She could be a secret weapon on a four-person final team for sure.
  4. Ryan Knight’s ex-girlfriend Jemmye donated all of his clothes after they broke up. Poor Knight. Listen, he had an up-and-down personality, and competitively he got stuck with average to weak teammates (Preston, Jemmye, McKenzie). He was a high-level amateur hockey player before sustaining an injury, so he was athletically competent enough to succeed at physical challenges. He was also low-key super into the game for its own sake. He wanted to go into elimination against Bananas like it was no biggie. People seemed to like his energy in the house. He’s a good teammate and would probably complement his teammates’ strengths well here.
Battle of the Sexes II Final Description - thanks again to the wonderful u/RohAnTheMaker for the details.
Which of these teams deserves to move on in our quest to discover The Challenge Fantasy Draft’s Biggest Loser? You decide.

Voting ends at 10 PM EST Thursday, February 6.
